Iffy at best for Chad to remain with Jets

I think (hope) what the author of the story meant by "dangling " the first pick would also include the Jets trading their top 5 pick to Miami plus Pennington and other picks. Of course since he just kind of threw that in there for no apparent reason I'd say the story has no legs or the author of the story is totally clueless as to Pennington's worth on the open market. The Jets would be totally thrilled to get one of Miami's 2nd round picks, something I'm sure Parcells wouldn't do.  (Jan 2, 2008 | post #54)

Interesting, the Sentinel removed my comment which simply stated that they're already predicting next years season even though this one just ended.  (Dec 7, 2007 | post #76)

Big 2 for who?

This is a business decision, plain and simple. The Marlins always seem to get the best talent out there for the trades and I've no doubt that they've achieved it in this case as well. The Marlins are run like a business and most business's exist to turn a profit. Good small market teams like the Twins, A's, and Marlins are able to trade away their stars and field competitive teams because they have fully staffed minor league systems and continually add to them by making deals like this. They promote from within and the cycle continues. For all the "fans" out there that won't root for them anymore, if you were at the games this wouldn't happen. Look at the bright side, you never have to worry about your team getting "old". They'll always be young, hustling, and hungry.  (Dec 5, 2007 | post #141)

Wii Is Most-Wanted Widget in Wintertime

The Wii responds to the user moving the wand-like wireless controller, while other consoles are controlled by a confusing array of buttons and joysticks. This is a silly statement, neither the 360 (my game system) nor the PS3 have a confusing array of buttons and joysticks. For one, neither the 360 nor PS3 has a joystick and second, after some game play the buttons become second nature and are certainly not confusing. This coming from a guy that didn't have a game system since his Atari 2600 went into mothballs.  (Nov 21, 2007 | post #2)

Boy, 4, dies after being hit by baseball in the chest

Probably one of those nets that the ball bounces back when you throw it. I had one as a kid. I'm terribly sorry to the family for this accident.  (Nov 2, 2007 | post #12)

The top 25 worst TV shows ... ever

The worst show that I absolutely love is Sledgehammer. It took a while but they finally came out with the DVD set. Terrible acting at it's best.  (Oct 26, 2007 | post #46)

Microsoft's 'Halo 3' expected to ring up giant sales

While I haven't played Halo 2, it is sitting in my living room while I find the desire to burn through it, I have played Halo 1 on my 360 and while I'm sure the graphics were great in their time they sure aren't great by today's standards. If you're a Halo fan you'll pony up the bread and buy a 360. I myself hated Halo 1 so I'm going to wait to borrow it from a friend before I make my decision concerning purchase.  (Sep 24, 2007 | post #4)

Well, I went through my first bunch of hurricane water supply so Saturday I'll load up again. I was planning on doing it anyway. Nice to know there's some activity out there because I almost never check the tropics for weather. Thanks for the heads up weather dudes.  (Jul 30, 2007 | post #19)

It's nice to have all the picks signed and ready to go. Now let's hope they can all play. The Dolphins need good, young talent.  (Jul 27, 2007 | post #33)
