How do YOU spell Mississippi?

A bus stops and 2 Italian men get on. They sit down and engage in an animated conversation. The lady sitting next to them ignores them at first, but her attention is galvanized when she hears one of them say the following: 'Emma come first. Den I come. Den two asses come together. I come once-a-more. Two asses, they come together again. I come again and pee twice. Then I come one lasta time.' You foul-mouthed sex-obsessed swine,' retorted the lady indignantly. 'In this country.......we don't speak aloud in public places about our sex lives .......' 'Hey, coola down lady,' said the man. 'Who talkin' abouta sex? I'm a justa tellin' my frienda how to spell ' Mississippi '.' I BET YOU GONNA READ THIS AGAIN!!!!!  (Aug 3, 2008 | post #1)

Greetings Picayunians! As I've only lived here for about 4.5 months, I didn't really do anything for 4th of July. Watched the neighbours set off some pretty impressive fireworks, that's it. So, What did YOU do? H  (Jul 12, 2008 | post #1)

The Longest Walk 2: What is the longest walk?

Depends entirely on how fast or slow you walk. Also depends entirely on where the heck you are walking! There is no 13th Avenue in Picayune, Ms - nor is there a lobird. ?o)  (Jul 9, 2008 | post #2)

Mississippi Sucks

Wow - what a thread! Let me get this right - 1. Southerners are proud of their heritage and not very happy when "yankees " with opinions invade their "territory "? 2. The South is great if you're independantly wealthy and settling down in "God's waiting room" (ref to the retired). 3. Greivances against ethnic minorites hinges on their abuse of the "system" and not as such the colour of their skin. My personal experience with Picayune, MS - I've just relocated here from Northants, UK - My father chose to settle here after he retired because it is close to family in NOLA. I moved here to try and get back on my feet after leaving UK and four months on,,,,, NOTHING! If I pound the pavement anymore looking for work, I'll be able to name my own street. I've not met anyone in this small little town, not for want of trying. Well apart from a nice young lady on the Flikr site. As much as I would love to stay here in The Deep South - I feel I don't have a choice in the matter. The few people I have met like to grunt monosylabic answers and can't be bothered to follow through on anything! I love NOLA, but not very comfortable with the idea of living there (the media has scared me with shootings and crime). All in all my experience has not been a good one. And yes, I think I'll move elsewhere.  (Jun 27, 2008 | post #23)
