Rude Republicans inside tent at Semo Fair

I stopped by the Republican tent at the SEMO District Fair, and asked for items too show my support for Donald Trump. This young man inside the tent was very rude too me, saying since I live in Scott County, I am not eligible for any of the products inside the tent. I was shocked, and upset that I was treated in a negative manner by all the staff inside this tent! Attention Fair Board, if this is how patrons are treated at your event, count our family out next year.  (Sep 17, 2016 | post #1)

STAXX Restaurant

My first visit too this cafe was of sticker shock -vs-amount of food served. The mushroom burger was tasty. The French fries were 8 in number. The cole slaw was served in a little dish, I swear it could not have been more than a tablespoon of slaw. Two people in my party, the total amount due was just shy of $20 not including the tip.  (Oct 26, 2014 | post #10)

Fruitland Auto & Small Engine Repair

In mid July I took my riding lawn mower too this business for repair. The owner kept the mower for one week, and then I went too check on the repair status. He informed me that the engine has no compression. This is going too cost you sir, $300 in parts, and $700 in labor for me too rebuild the engine he said. I refused and said I'd get a second opinion and loaded the mower back onto my truck. The owner developed an attitude saying I've been repairing small engines for over 20 years, the engine must be rebuilt. Suffice too say, I took the mower back home had someone else come too my house too look at the mower. The engine did in fact have compression and all that was wrong was a dirty Carburetor. So here in my opinion was a businessman attempting too take advantage of a client in the worst of ways! Has anyone else had any negative experiences with the Fruitland Auto & Small Engine Repair?  (Aug 2, 2014 | post #1)

Scott City Winery (Coming Soon)

Your correct guest in that the flooding used too cause problems in this area. The developer has spent tons of money on elevating the winery on a huge mountain of soil lined on all sides with rip rap. The building and the (mountain) look pretty impressive from CR-307. The access road too it from route N, has also been elevated. If water gets in this building, most of East Scott City will flood as well :)  (Mar 15, 2014 | post #23)

Scott City Winery (Coming Soon)

Your mistaken, it's located at the old Landing area where route N used too dead end, East of Scott City by Enterprise Products (Teas Eastern Tanks). It's a winery/cafe or will be upon the construction phase. It will overlook the Mississippi River, towards Thebes Illinois with the Union Pacific Rail Road Bridge as a backdrop. With dredging, in the future even luxury excursion vessels could dock if they wanted too.  (Mar 15, 2014 | post #22)

Scott City Winery (Coming Soon)

The developer I'm pretty sure is Derrick Hodges a retired AT&T executive. He also owns the Mississippi Landing subdivision up the road at the Jct of route N & CR-307. The building is up with sheathing, as well as a decked roof, yet too be shingled.  (Mar 15, 2014 | post #21)

That old cemetery is of concern too me as well. This is a private gated community, and no public access at all anymore. I'd bet the headstones have been bulldozed down, but no way too ascertain it though.  (Sep 8, 2013 | post #14)
