build a raft to float down the mississippi

Interesting. A friend and I rafted the Cumberland River here in Kentucky last year from Barbourville to Cumberland Falls. Like the Cumberland, the Mississippi River has several locks and dams that would require permits for "travel around." Before approaching these structures, you would have to exit the river and re-enter safely downstream. This is something you would definitely need to research before embarking on such a quest. Cheers!  (Mar 6, 2013 | post #31)

Moving To Kennesaw, Need Job

Hey y'all Georgia peaches! I will be relocating to Kennesaw Georgia within the week and will be needing a job. I'm a 35 year old male, coming from Kentucky. The past 3 years I have been in the coal mining industry and everything before that has mostly consisted of manual labor. Nothing "too" skilled, although I have had somewhat considerable experience in Carpentry and Brick Masonry (labor-hod-carrier ). I love outside work, all weather conditions ... however, I wouldn't be opposed to inside climates. If any of you may have a lead for me, just let me know. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!  (Mar 6, 2013 | post #1)
