Beam me up Scottie. No sign of intelligent life on this thread. (Mar 9, 2013 | post #215)
Just look at the choices. (Sep 20, 2011 | post #1)
The death penalty is never useful. In this case he is an obvious nutjob. (Jun 14, 2011 | post #1)
It's not realistic. He is just posturing. (Jun 14, 2011 | post #2)
So you have no problem with making future generations pay for your laziness. (May 3, 2011 | post #4)
More important than the possibility of accidents at an active plant, is what to do with the plant when it is no longer functional, as well as what to do with nuclear waste. Right now these costs are not being paid by the users of the electricity. Can future generations be made responsible for our laziness? Yes of course they CAN, but should they be? Should we trust what energy corporations tell us, when they have no moral responsibility and can dissolve themselves with bankruptcy the moment the cost become too high? (Mar 27, 2011 | post #1)
Free speech has limits; it doesn't include trespass (among other things). I'm glad we agree. Now feel free to go back to mumbling among yourselves. Beam me up Scottie! There are no intelligent life forms on this thread. (Mar 8, 2011 | post #482)
FuGyou wrote: Realclimate doesn't tolerate morons like you spamming endless denier misinformation. That's their right. You don't have the right to go into someone's house start ranting at them. Free speech has limits. And Earthling thinks you do have the right to go into someone's house and start ranting at them? (Mar 7, 2011 | post #480)
Said Tina Swift, redundantly. (Mar 7, 2011 | post #479)
This isn't really something where an opinion matters much. Sure everyone has one, but you know what they say about that. The evidence is pretty clear; that Bush was in Florida doesn't prove anything and it was possible to get the kind of weapons used in those skyjackings (razor knives) through security. I myself got through airport screening accidentally carrying a small pocket knife/pipe tool that contained enough stainless steel in it to have been an effective weapon. And that was in the year following the attacks. Whether Americans in general are warmongers may be more of a question of opinion. It seems clear to me that far too many of them were willing to jump on the bandwagon and support both invasions. I was opposed from the start. Someone came up to me at work on the morning of September 11 and said, "this changes everything", and I thought, no, what the U.S. government does now can change everything. I think events have proven me right. These wars may be the beginning of the end for U.S. leadership. Sad really. In my opinion, the U.S. may have made mistakes in the past -- what was done to native Americans was truly genocide and ending slavery so late seems hard to believe from today's view -- but still, for a country with so much power, they managed to do proportionally less damage than other world powers. Berliner Weisse bitter nicht. Nuth'ng wrong with garlic though. (But in English you don't need to capitalize it.) (Feb 23, 2011 | post #484)
ummm. No you are right with some of what you say, but 9-11 was not an "inside job". I'm as big a critic of GWBush as you will find anywhere, but he and his friends were not behind it. And for a lot of the posters, what is with the sweeping criticism? Germans are as varied as are Americans. Both countries have wingnuts and good people too. Ich mich mir is right about that...funny name though. (Feb 22, 2011 | post #25)
I've read a small sample of the posts here and wonder if I'm the only one to notice what a stupid "poll" this is. What makes any of you think Germans hate more than anyone else and why in Gods name do you find it interesting to comment on this nonsense? What Germans did leading up to and during WWII is beyond dispute, but if you haven't noticed, those people are all dead now. If you think, "All Germans are..." whatever: you are more of a bigot and racist than any Germans who I know. I'm not German, but find this "poll" offensive. It seems to be no more than an excuse for the real haters to get together and exchange notes. Topix should remove it. (Jan 12, 2011 | post #74)
Earthling, your writing here is pointless rambling. Seems you've been hanging out with *idiot who's name I can't seem to remember -- just as well*. Your posts used to make a little sense, at least once in a while. (Oct 2, 2010 | post #47)
It's hard to tell if he is a really rabid redneck or one of those dang "liberals ", trying to stir up some trouble, posing as one. (My apologies to any real rednecks who may take offense at my reference. There's nothing wrong with earning a living working out-of-doors.) (Jul 1, 2010 | post #274)
