Idaho Sen. Craig Arrested for lewd Conduct

I guess if you want to get away with something you either join a group that stands for the opposite or spring forward and pretend to be outraged at the very thing you want to do. I am beginning to see through this quicker and quicker. Pretty soon no one will dare join anything.....lol  (Aug 29, 2007 | post #135)

Banks, OR

Banks-Vernonia trail's finishing touches near

I drive up from Arizona to visit my grandchildren in Banks. One of our favorite things to do is our Bike/Buggy ride. I have one of those little tow behind bike trailers that the grandkids love to ride in. The Vernonia bike trail is a great idea for us if I could bike to this end of it in Banks. It would be great to be able to go for a longer ride, pick blackberries and just enjoy the Oregon country side. I will take a ride by myself on Tuesday to see if there has been any progress.  (Aug 24, 2007 | post #1)

'Queen of Mean' Hotelier Helmsley Dies

I think some people like being mean. They get addicted to the body chemicals that are produced when they are in their mean rages. I have known plenty of people just like this. We have all seen plenty of rich dolts that are still miserable and they die like the rest of us. The money doesn't really do them that much for them. So what if they sleep in a California King size bed. A roof over your head is still a roof. I think some people like to get rich so they can be mean/cruel as opposed to meanness being a prerequisite for business success.  (Aug 22, 2007 | post #234)

Barry Bonds Ties Hank Aaron's Home Run Record

Quite a while ago, I mean at least 10-15 years, I read somewhere that professional sports would not be sustainable by 2050. I am not really sure what that was based on but it looks like it might come true. Baseball is the only one I watch at all and have been to just one game in the past 15 years. I really enjoyed baseball growing up. Quite a while ago.....Dodgers were still in Brooklyn, Braves were in Boston and I used to watch Ted Williams, Joe Dimargio and Warren Spahn. Anyone remember Walter Dropo and Sammy White? I remember Ted Williams once saying about 20 years after he hung up his bat, that a good rookie would make more $ in his first year than he had in his entire career. I hope my grandson gets to feel some of what I felt.  (Aug 7, 2007 | post #315)

Bikini-clad women mow lawns

This could cause car accidents. It is too distracting, especially if you're driving around a residential neighborhood where there are children. It's not funny and should be stopped. I'm not a prude either, it's just that safety should always be thought of FIRST.  (Jul 24, 2007 | post #58)

200 Trapped in Gateway Arch for 2 Hours

I went up that once, way back early 80's. It was very confined up at the top and I felt claustiphobic. I guess I could last 2 hours up there but I definitly wouldn't enjoy it. Let's all be thankful nobody was hurt  (Jul 23, 2007 | post #40)

Polyps Found In Bush Colonoscopy

Presidents always get kidded a lot and Pres Bush takes it in stride. Like Pres Truman said, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." Sometimes it seems like the kitchen is getting hotter and hotter, but if you think back to all the country has been through we are probably not in such bad shape. You know, things like the Civil War, WWI, WWII, JFK killing etc etc. There is a really big list and somehow , like the energizer bunny, we keep going, and going, and going.... I'm glad he is ok as I don't wish bad on very many.  (Jul 23, 2007 | post #350)

Angelina 'furious' about Aniston

I just hope they can put aside their fighting and remember that their children will only have one childhood and this should be a happy and wondrous time for them. New GOP Bill Challenges Bush Iraq Policy

Some day the war will be "over", like the Korean war, Viet Nam etc. Then we can wait for the next one. Like Albert Einstein said, "As long as their are men, there will be wars."  (Jul 15, 2007 | post #63)

Probably ok for him to say this as long as he realizes not everyone agrees. It is like a fast food company saying their's is the only true hamburger. Just marketing....  (Jul 15, 2007 | post #434)

Why Doesn't Evolution Get Rid of Ugly People?

I think "ugly" people, really better said as plain people tend to be a little better, a little smarter and best of all a little less mean. Like the advise in that song "Never make a pretty woman your wife" Just my 2 cents...  (Jul 14, 2007 | post #83)
