Prosecutors say man impersonated private eye

That's awesome that some ***hat gave the victim of the story 3 "off-topic " judgments. I dare whoever that was to leave a comment.  (May 3, 2011 | post #4)

Prosecutors say man impersonated private eye

"Hawthorne 'investigator' charged with 4 felonies" http://www.dailybr eeze.com/news/ci_1 7952825 Let's see if I have the scorecard correct: City Manager Jag Pathirana gets fired for impersonating a police officer. The City Council replaces him with Jim Mitsch, who hires Ortega who in turn is impersonating a private investigator. Now if that's not sufficiently ironic already, Ortega is tasked with conducting surveillance on other city employees, possibly including the council members who appointed Mitsch as City manager in the first place. Someone should be peddling this as a plot for a new soap opera. I completely agree with Mr. Raymond: Just sweep the whole place.  (May 1, 2011 | post #3)

Claim Jumper restaurant in Torrance closes

A local business closes, or a business chain closes one or two of its stores, and it's a direct cause of the President of the United States. I am SO going to remember that for the next Republican president's term.  (Dec 1, 2010 | post #60)

Ewell pleads not guilty to 4 murders

So Carmen, if you're reading this, do you still think the 3-Strikes law is an injustice? Or would it have saved 4 people's lives?  (Nov 30, 2010 | post #1)

13 Democratic lawmakers in 5 states defect to GOP

There probably are as many stupid conservative voters as there are stupid liberal voters. I laugh at anyone who votes a straight party ticket.  (Nov 29, 2010 | post #14)

13 Democratic lawmakers in 5 states defect to GOP

That's an interesting position to be in. Let's say - hypothetically - that after 15 years in office, the most liberal Democrat in a state assembly goes to the post office and re-registers himself as a Republican. At the next election, will Rebublicans vote for him because he now has an "R" next to his name?  (Nov 29, 2010 | post #1)

Citing deficit, Obama freezing federal worker pay

If Bush had done this, you would be claiming that it was something that Democrats are outright incapable of doing. But instead, a Democrat president put a freeze on raises when a Republican president didn't. And that's the root of your frustration, isn't it? These very easy labels of "liberal " and "conservative " are being eroded away. You need to come to terms with the idea that the line you perceive is a lot more indistinct than that.  (Nov 29, 2010 | post #9)

Torrance raises speed limit on Anza to 35 mph

Oh how interesting. Excessive speed incentive program. The more motorists who break the speed limit, the more likely they'll raise the speed limit to match the violators. I didn't know that.  (Nov 24, 2010 | post #1)
