Couple fight over Disney World vacation

Seeing that the letter did state that the debt was in the gf's name, any layperson can tell you that the wife would definitely not be liable.  (May 11, 2009 | post #43)

Couple fight over Disney World vacation

I'm with you 100%. I can't believe the gf wold even have the nerve to bring up her debt to the deceased man's wife. And I can not believe Amy's response; how gross.  (May 11, 2009 | post #35)

Dodd: Attacks On Wife Are Baseless Low Blows

You told "untruths " and provided us with false statements and then had to quickly backtrack one too many times. You certainly lost my vote for the first time since you've been in politics. I'm still waiting for the truth about your mortgage. I'm interested because I have a mortgage with the same company that I got about the same time you got yours--but not at your sweet deal.  (May 11, 2009 | post #125)

100 Years In Prison For Teen Who Killed Honor Student

Are you for real? He'll be out in the blink of an eye. Ever hear of parole? Unless he received life without parole, you'll be passing him on the street shortly. Wish the Courant would give details with their stories...  (May 5, 2009 | post #36)

Tech-Savvy Teen Drug Dealer Gets One Year In Prison

Only one year in jail--how much real time is that? With time off for "good behavior", time already served, etc., he's probably out and about now. What a farce. If folks selling pot are only receiving a slap on the hand, perhaps it should be legalized. That would surely save us tax payors tons of money now spent in courts and jails.  (May 5, 2009 | post #1)

Bradley Adminstrator Resign

Uh, you should really take your own advice to "think before you speak". Replacing an executive who resigned would have nothing to do with a hiring freeze. It's obvious to those of us who "think before we speak" that this is quite a necessary position. Sometime I think you write something just to see your words published in a forum. Please--cut it out, your ignorance is showing.  (Apr 17, 2009 | post #2)

Hospital Seeks Temporary Leave For Patient Who Killed His...

Although he was "acquitted of the crime", it does not mean that he did not "commit the crime". (I don't know where you have gotten the idea that he didn't commit the crime; there were no other suspects.) The acquittal only means that he was "absolved from any obligation of the crime", in this case, due to insanity at the time of the crime. Do not think for one moment that he did not do it, or that he is incapable of doing the same again. I believe that if he was deemed insane, and put in an institution for 20 years due to his insanity, then he should remain in said institution for 20 years. He could then be released under full supervision for the rest of his life as he most certainly remains a danger to himself and to society.  (Apr 16, 2009 | post #70)

Simsbury Chiropractor Gets Six Weeks In Jail For Fraud

Let's see, six weeks in jail reduced for good behavior...that probably means he'll serve a couple of days. Surely you jest. He stole over half a mil and that is all he gets? Poor guy, he has to sell his million plus home to help pay restitution. Now he can begin to live like the majority of us--day to day--and not in million dollar homes. I doubt his wife and kids will suffer much from this change in lifestyle. Guess his wife will need to get a job also to make ends meet. What a hardship; how terrible! Doesn't it just tear your heart out?  (Apr 15, 2009 | post #11)

Perez's Lawyers File New Motion To Dismiss Case

On and on it goes; posturing at its grandest. The mayor can only ask that the checks be cut says his attorney. From the stories we've already heard, isn't it a fact that what "King Eddie" says goes? When he asks that something be done, it's done with no questions asked because he's got just about everyone on the city payroll under his thumb. They all owe him big time; therefore, they do as he says. Are we that dumb that we do not understand this? Hope the judge throws out all this nonsense and the case continues to trial. The good taxpayors of Hartford have already spend much to see that justice is done, so let's complete it and get this guy and his cronies in jail (with hefty fines).  (Apr 15, 2009 | post #7)
