GRPS partners with Amway

It's disgusting that GRPS would partner with a slimeball racket like Amway. What a great lesson for the kids--- It's OK to rip people off with a pyramid scam and call it a "business. " What's next? Are they going to make Bernie Madoff the Principal?  (Oct 27, 2009 | post #3)

Amway Moving 100's of Jobs to Costa Rica

Amway is slime all the way around. They bilked billions of dollars out of millions of people with their pyramid scam and they are still too cheap to hire Americans.  (Oct 15, 2009 | post #4)

You have some serious ignorance issues, don't you??? Bernie Madoff and Allen Stanford probably worked hard to pull off their scams, too. Are you impressed by them, also? DeVos and VanAndel recently placed #3 in top 5 scam artists list: http://www.vueweek ly.com/article.php ?id=9430 They all have one thing in common. They made their money by ripping people off.  (May 22, 2009 | post #75)

It's a scam when people buy the overpriced junk and spend thousands on the training "tools" under the pretense of getting rich quick and easy by recruiting more suckers. 99.9% won't ever turn a profit. It's a scam and here is how it works: http://www.falsepr ofits.com/American scam.html This is where the dirty money came from that paid for those fireworks and everything that arrogant family has pasted their name on.  (May 22, 2009 | post #55)

So by your logic, when an elderly couple gets ripped off in a common driveway scam, it's OK because they "chose" to fall for the scam. You seem to miss the whole concept of what a scam is. No one claimed Amway was an armed robber forcing people to hand over their cash. They get people to hand it over willingly through false pretenses. That's called a scam. http://www.falsepr ofits.com/American scam.html  (May 22, 2009 | post #50)

The DeVoses are masters of fraud and it goes beyond their Amway pyramid scam. The PAC run by Betsy DeVos was fined $5.2 million for illegally transferring funds used to try to pass a law to get taxpayer dollars to subsidize private schools for rich kids. http://www.mlive.c om/news/index.ssf/ 2008/04/devos_pac_ that_supports_cand id.html This is the same Betsy DeVos who said high wages in Michigan are a "problem. " The DeVoses money came from a pyramid scam. They belong in prison.  (May 22, 2009 | post #44)

It's always good to see money that was scammed from the poor by the super rich used to entertain the regular rich. Let's not forget where Amway got the money used to buy those fireworks. Nearly everyone who joins their pyramid scam loses money. Only the first ones in get anything out of it. The DeVoses are the Bernie Madoffs that have not been stopped yet. The only difference is that they prey upon the poor instead of the rich so no one cares about their victims. http://www.falsepr ofits.com/American scam.html http://www.corpora tenarc.com/quixtar .php http://www.merchan tsofdeception.com/  (May 21, 2009 | post #9)

DeVos: Major initiative on tap for GR

I've never been involved in their scam. We have a moral obligation as human beings to speak out against fraud and to protect other human beings from being ripped off. Think about where the money came from. All of the money they spend here in town was ripped off from people in their scam. The people who were ripped off were mostly lower income people, and the money the DeVoses spend in the community mostly goes to benefit themselves and other rich people. Bernie Madoff bought stuff for the city of New York. Those gifts were also paid for with dirty money. Should the community really be thanking these people? Being grateful to people like this is like thanking the Devil.  (Apr 24, 2009 | post #117)

Is it any surprise that the DeVoses would only spend money on something for the rich and affluent? Did anyone honestly believe they would contribute something to the community that the poor could enjoy? Since their scam rips off the poor, why would they give anything back to them? http://www.cs.cmu. edu/~dst/Amway/  (Apr 23, 2009 | post #99)

I guess when an elderly couple loses thousands of dollars in a typical driveway scam then it's OK because they've got it coming to them. I mean, where do they get off actually trusting someone who is trying to sell them something? As long as they fall for it then it's all good and they deserve to lose the money they worked hard for. Great way to blame the victims. The reason it's called a scam is because the marks don't know any better. Whether it is legal or not doesn't determine if it is right or wrong. You must be a real pillar of integrity to be sitting there advocating ripping people off.  (Apr 21, 2009 | post #62)

You're insane if you think they aren't crooked. They got their money by ripping people off with their pyramid scam. The community shouldn't be grateful for the things they paste their name all over because they were purchased with money obtained by hurting others. http://www.merchan tsofdeception.com/ http://www.falsepr ofits.com/American scam.html  (Apr 20, 2009 | post #37)
