Ravens, Steelers getting ready to play the feud

The most important thing in all of this is that the Refs shouldn't blow the whistle until it's dead. The final call in the Pit game was right. The problem was the initial call was wrong and pretty much killed what was important.  (Oct 29, 2010 | post #2664)

Agreed. Merriweathers hit on Heap was the only one that I saw and thought was dirty. Here's where it get's interesting. Add this issue to some of the bs calls players have gotten for taking down a QB and there will be alot of problems in the league. You can't have defenders scared to make a hit.  (Oct 24, 2010 | post #2615)

What happened to Prince Miller...I know they picked him back up. Let the Rookie return it.  (Oct 19, 2010 | post #2602)

I enjoy it the more people talk up the Jets...just forget about us...please. I long for underdog status.  (Oct 12, 2010 | post #2555)

What was funny was the same week Suggs and Ray got those horrible calls...the Steelers wrapped Vince Young up and planted him on his head. I guess you do have to be a top paid QB to get a call. I don't have as much a problem with the hits as the big differences in what's called.  (Oct 1, 2010 | post #2469)

"the thing about hillis is he's a big powerful back. big backs usually have better success against both the steelers and the ravens than small scat backs imo" This is one of the most unbiased comments I've seen from a Steelers fan in a few days. Guys like Hillis just hit the hole and run straight. It's the ones that try to get cute and make cuts that get eaten alive by both teams. Funny thing is I was going to pick Hillis up last week and didn't, so naturally he ran all over us.  (Sep 29, 2010 | post #2422)

I think people hyped him up too much in the first place. Like John Clayton and his 14 elite QBs. They saw that first NFL pass touchdown and lost their minds. Last year they started to see that he might just be a good QB...so they have to assume he'll be a failure. Gotta love the extremes people go to.  (Sep 16, 2010 | post #2305)

I was...got over the early disasters and kept the chains moving without much of a running game. Despite how horrible the Jets O is their D is damn good. ================= I made that old Ravens/Jets comparison too. Mind you the Ravens when Jamal Lewis was declining. LT looked good, but for how long...especially if Greene can't keep it together.  (Sep 14, 2010 | post #2275)

I think people are expecting the explosive offense to explode right now, despite it being preseason. The RT spot has been in flux, but I'm not that concerned about the line. The secondary is getting better. Washington is back, Webb is off PUP and Cary Williams looks good he might supplant Carr as a starter. I'm holding a real opinion until after this weekends game.  (Aug 26, 2010 | post #2227)

I think the immediate concern is Goodell. Lord knows he loves to hand out suspensions before trials start or verdicts come down. One one hand you have players who (assuming he's not guilty) can identify with Ben's position, but alot of people are just looking at how suspension happy Goodell has been and he may have to worry about not being seen as playing favorites.  (Mar 16, 2010 | post #2088)

I know he got tendered, I believe a first round. People were down on him early last season...but he played well the season before and down the stretch.  (Mar 15, 2010 | post #2077)

If Stallworth is stays healthy he will stretch it. Especially if the 4.4 reports are correct. I remember with Philly his biggest use was catching downfield. I refuse to judge anyone by their time with Cleveland.  (Mar 8, 2010 | post #2062)

Here's a sad fact though, at his age and in a piss poor offense...he still had more production than Mark Clayton...almost double. If you want him or not...that stings.  (Mar 1, 2010 | post #2030)

I think they just got excited about Flacco and forgot the Derrick Mason was the best WR we had. I'm good on the Stallworth signing. He was the most upstanding, in his reaction to what he did, as far as NFL players charged with crimes over the last few years. He was good with Philly, but hard to judge in NE (Moss and Welker were the 1 and 2) and I won't judge any WR based on playing with Cleveland the last few years. They aren't done though...I think Stallworth and Mason are solid (possesion and deep threat), but they still need someone more complete as a #1.  (Feb 19, 2010 | post #2014)
