amish buggies

on the seat belt thing with buses why is it some buses do have seat belt and some don't the small buses have them the large buses usually don't but then again some do...and when I was growing up the bus I rode had seat belts but only in the front 4 seats, it just doesn't make sense to me. I've heard before that Amish don't have to pay wheel tax, is that true? the other thing that "annoys" me is at Westview they don't have a football team because "there are too many Amish students" they drop out after 8th grade any ways, and besides how many amish do you see playing any of the other sports they have? I'm just tired of the community and even the schools using the Amish as an excuse not to do something or approve something. Does the Amish really care about stuff like that? and if they do then they can go to their own schools in my opinion.  (Nov 18, 2007 | post #18)

Terry and Darlene Anderson's Murder

sherry, you asked if I speak to Q's sister anymore, no I haven't talked to her in a while. I'm not much of a drinker any more and that was pretty much all they ever did. I have started talking to people around town about this trying to get people talking about it again, including "hair dressers" that I know repeat everything they are told. with any luck it will be the "talk of the town" again soon.  (Nov 17, 2007 | post #652)

Terry and Darlene Anderson's Murder

You mentioned the news sun and journal gazzette have you sent anything to the lagrange standard? the other two are larger named ones but most people around lagrange only read the lagrange paper. too bad you couldn't get on the 5 o'clock news that's when most people watch it, if you have been on the news several times I'm surprised I have not heard about it. where is/was the billboard you had/have? was it on US 20? I know who you are talking about when you said they lived with a woman before they got their own "lake house" I remember she was not happy with 'Q' expecially after they moved out. since that is around the time I stopped going around that group of people, I don't know but kinda wonder if one of them know something, like I said that was also about the time that Q and his sis had the "falling out" I've heard they talk now but it's still not like it used to be. I wish I could come up with something to help get the word out around the community and get people thinking again but I just can't think of anything since you said you already put stuff in the papers and on tv.....the only other thing I can think of is put up fliers around all the surrounding towns in the stores, libraries, gas stations, ect. but other than that I just don't know. well if you need help with anything around here let me know and i will try my best to help.  (Nov 16, 2007 | post #649)

Child-care program to go statewide

It is actually cheaper for us to have me stay home with the kids and my husband go to work than to have us both work, because of the cost in child care, I would be lucky to have 30 dollars left from my check at the end of the week after I paid the child care and for gas to go back and forth...why does the prices in child care/day care keep going up???? for 2 kids the cheapest I can find is 150 a week and that's an in home not liscenced child care provider  (Nov 15, 2007 | post #7)
