Who knows Clement W. Kelsey

There were Kelsey's living on Girdled Road in Concord. They've been there for years, but I'm not sure if any are still around.  (Aug 17, 2010 | post #2)

Spillway Inn? Restaurant.....

I like both Rebecca's and the Spillway Inn. Both have great food. Rebecca's does not sell alcohol. I would avoid the buffet at Rebecca's - that's the only thing there I did not like.  (Jun 20, 2010 | post #5)

Offshore Drilling - Conneautville, PA

Everything in life has risks, but the oil industry has a good record of safety. They've been drilling offshore in the Gulf for 60 years with no major accident until Trans Ocean's recent blowout with the Deepwater Horizon.  (Jun 20, 2010 | post #1)

Jeff's Auto Service creating dangerous intersection in Bl...

If Jeff reads this, or if someone knows him, please tell him to stop parking large vehicles - pickup trucks, vans, SUVs, etc. on the south side of his building. I come through the intersection in Blooming Valley almost daily and on most days it is almost impossible to see traffic coming eastbound on Rt. 77. Sooner or later, someone is going to get killed here because they couldn't see traffic coming - all because of Jeff's blocking the view by parking vehicles in a stupid place. Thanks for making this change before someone gets killed!  (Jun 20, 2010 | post #1)

Police and Fire Report

Our prayers go out to the family of Seppo. He was my cousin, but I never had the opportunity to meet him.  (Jun 20, 2010 | post #1)

Chardon Corporation Limit sign at Colburn Road

Anyone have any idea why there is a Chardon Corporation Limit sign on Rt. 44 at Colburn Road at the Chardon Township/Concord Township border? Is it a mistake? When coming south from Concord, one is entering Chardon TOWNSHIP - not Chardon City.  (May 9, 2010 | post #1)

Rickards should publish a cookbook of all their recipes. It would be a good way for them to make money after retirement, plus it would be a good way of sharing with the community.  (Mar 6, 2010 | post #25)

Moment of Silence for Local Marine at Football Game

Conneaut anxious for return of truck scales

Conneaut anxious for return of truck scales http://www.starbea con.com/local/loca l_story_1... I believe Conneaut should get nothing from weight violations from the scales on I-90. Ohio law should be changed to make all fines for traffic violations go directly to the state general fund and not to local municipalities. This would end almost all speed traps and other unnecessary harassment of motorists by local police for the sole purpose of revenue generation.  (Jun 21, 2009 | post #6)

Community college seen as a must

I think Northwest Pennsylvania could use a community college, but I don't think Erie County needs one. It would be a good thing if one could be built in eastern Crawford County where it could be easily accessed by Warren, Forest and Venango County residents as well. Erie already has enough colleges.  (Apr 4, 2009 | post #9)

Dahlkemper asks lawmakers to re-examine rules on lead

This is a very good thing Kathy is doing. She needs to work for the folks of NW Pennsylvania and not bow to Nancy Pelosi and Obama's every request.  (Mar 28, 2009 | post #1)

I don't know the answer, but why don't you call the Rickard family and see if they have it? Good luck.  (Mar 26, 2009 | post #19)
