Moment of Silence for Local Marine at Football Game

May God bless David's family. Thank God there are men willing to protect our country. And may God protect America from those currently trying to destroy her.  (Oct 25, 2009 | post #2)

Conneaut anxious for return of truck scales

Conneaut anxious for return of truck scales http://www.starbea con.com/local/loca l_story_1... I believe Conneaut should get nothing from weight violations from the scales on I-90. Ohio law should be changed to make all fines for traffic violations go directly to the state general fund and not to local municipalities. This would end almost all speed traps and other unnecessary harassment of motorists by local police for the sole purpose of revenue generation.  (Jun 21, 2009 | post #6)

Community college seen as a must

I think Northwest Pennsylvania could use a community college, but I don't think Erie County needs one. It would be a good thing if one could be built in eastern Crawford County where it could be easily accessed by Warren, Forest and Venango County residents as well. Erie already has enough colleges.  (Apr 4, 2009 | post #9)

Dahlkemper asks lawmakers to re-examine rules on lead

This is a very good thing Kathy is doing. She needs to work for the folks of NW Pennsylvania and not bow to Nancy Pelosi and Obama's every request.  (Mar 28, 2009 | post #1)

I don't know the answer, but why don't you call the Rickard family and see if they have it? Good luck.  (Mar 26, 2009 | post #19)

Geocache box leads to Walmart scare

Please, bomb squad people, think before you blow something up next time. This was a tupperware-like container that was labeled as a geocache and placed at Walmart with the manager's permission. It was obviously not a bomb and had no resemblance to a bomb. This is the second time in the last couple weeks that you guys have blown up something that was not necessary. You recently destroyed an historical artifact from the Civil War that had been around for over a hundred and fifty years. If you thought that it could contain black powder, you should have just soaked it in some water to wash the black powder out. Please take some classes on how to identify objects before you jump to conclusions and just destroy them. Someday you may really hurt someone in your pursuit of that big boom!  (Feb 18, 2009 | post #1)

Pens write oil's story

Sounds like a great gift. And that wonderful Pennsylvania crude smell is priceless - especially if the barrels or tanks were from the Oil Creek region!  (Jan 25, 2009 | post #1)

Battle over autopsy is over

Well I hope this helps out the Mook family. Awful cold days to exhume a body.  (Jan 18, 2009 | post #4)

Hoping new year is sweeter

Good luck Mr. Williams! I made syrup for several years back in the 1980s and want to get back into it again someday. Take care and keep the foam down!  (Dec 28, 2008 | post #5)

Let's build new covered bridge

Thanks! Great comments Bridgewright. Today they caught the **** who burned the bridge. 23-year-old Jeffrey Adam Gleason of Conneautville, and 21-year-old Joshua Michael Bell of Albion, face charges including arson, criminal mischief, conspiracy and reckless endangerment. They're also suspected of doing a lot more crimes.  (Dec 17, 2008 | post #26)
