Labor unions find themselves card-checkmated

Biting satire! Brilliant comedy! "We will be free!" ROFLMAO Yes, we will be free. Free to turn over the fruits of our labor to the government and free to starve. In ten years, Zimbabwe will seem like a land of opportunity.  (May 19, 2009 | post #166)

Labor unions find themselves card-checkmated

No, mike is talking about labor unions. Although I will concede that, like other government-support ed parasites, the banking and insurance industries are on the same level as labor unions. It's called "corporate fascism".  (May 19, 2009 | post #124)

Postal Service rate hike may not end funding shortfall

The tag line on the article link on says it all "This antique government monopoly is in even more trouble than usual". Monopolies are bad. Our owners, er, leaders, have been telling us that for a century, ever since the Rockwells, Morgans and other early industrialists used the power of government to cement their monopoly positions in oil, rail and other industries. Bad for the consumer and ultimately, bad for the incompetent and inefficient business.  (May 11, 2009 | post #3)

Federal Trade Commission's plan to change rules on ad end...

More meddling in the private affairs of so-called "free citizens" by an over-reaching nanny state. Don't you realize, Amerikans, that you're too stupid to think for yourselves, so your brilliant bureaucrats must do your thinking for you.  (Mar 20, 2009 | post #170)

Tax on AIG bonuses: Congress shouldn't confuse pandering ...

Actually, I give it a distant third to government. Period. Government is theft. It is force, naked force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. If they have the power to do it to the AIG execs, they have the power to do it to you. If you think they won't, you're taking the wrong end of a sucker's bet.  (Mar 20, 2009 | post #45)

France hit by new wave of strikes, protests over Sarkozy'...

Unions. Just another reason why France may be a third-world country a few years ahead of Amerika. Where are those union "workers " going to get money when the country's broke? Try to invade other countries?  (Mar 19, 2009 | post #1)

Illinois income tax rate may rise by 50%

It's time to start a recall drive for Quinn. Let's add in all the other thieves, er, politicians while we're at it. Just for good measure.  (Mar 13, 2009 | post #669)

GM shares hit 74-year low

What they don't say is that when GM shares were at this level 70 years ago, the dollar was worth about 20 times what it is today, maybe more. That REALLY puts the company's condition in perspective.  (Mar 7, 2009 | post #4)

Rod Blagojevich signs six-figure book deal

So what's he going to say that everyone doesn't already know? That all of his fellow pols are lying, thieving hoors? Sorry, we all know that already. So, nothing worth coughing up $4.95 for.  (Mar 3, 2009 | post #65)

TSA wants more security measures on private jets

Come on, people: tell us (and yourselves) that we're not living in a police state. This is really for our own good. I'm sure the rationalizations for this further erosion of our (LOL) "freedom " will be endless. It's been a very long time since the stupidity and/or apathy of my fellow slaves surprised me.
