-sigh- The road commission uses the gas tax to make and repair roads. There would be no roads without the gas tax. Unless, of course, you want to pay a different tax instead. If the gas tax was eliminated the only choice would be to raise other taxes. They cannot simply eliminate a huge source of income for the state. We are already strapped for revenue. It baffles me how over 65% of people on WZZM think that eliminating the gas tax is a good thing. It would do nothing good. (May 11, 2008 | post #46)

Because stores would not round the price of goods down to the nearest nickel, they would -raise- the price to the nearest nickel. Heroin is a powerful and deadly drug. Her actions most likely ruined the lives of countless people, propagating drug use, and causing violence. She could have very well killed someone, probably several. I have no pity for her. She knew what she was doing. She was willing to ruin other's lives, perhaps kill them, just to make a buck.
