Licensed Massage Therapists in Smithfield and Surrounding...

As licensed massage therapists in North Carolina you are invited to join a new and free online network. Because it is free, it may encourage more MTs to participate in the professional community, and it will also make it easier for members from different associations to have dialogue. Currently the profession is divided with most people not being members of an association, and the rest divided between memberships with the AMTA, ABMP and the IMA. So we didn't have one common network to stay informed, until now. The North Carolina Massage Therapists Network on ning.com will complement whatever association you're part of, and for those without any membership, it gives us all the opportunity to exchange information and referrals. All NC licensed massage therapists are invited and encouraged to sign up at the new and free network: http://northcaroli namassagetherapist s.ning.co... . There are regional sub groups, and sub groups for different modalities, a page for every member, discussions forums, and more. Check us out. Let us know what courses you teach. If you're looking for new clients. If you're seeking a mentor. If you've just graduated and don't know where you want to practice. If you have something massage related to sell... Let's find a common ground for the members of our profession.  (Dec 16, 2008 | post #1)

Living in Cary

For those of you moving to town, check out inSide919.com. It's an exciting new online community and will help you get familiar with some local business people. When you actually move here, you're welcome to join up, it's free, and has really expanded my own network and community. I'm a Northerner from Massachusetts, then Maryland. Moved down with an IT job, then got laid off a few years later. Cary's wonderful, but it grows astronomically... still it's a great life. Holly Springs is less expensive, but more of a commute on some single lane roads. Apex is a great place to live too. All depends on where you drive to. And there are jobs... and there are a lot of people looking for jobs and moving here from all over the country. So no way to tell what your individual paths will be like. But for lots of people who have lost their jobs, there's a lot of enterprise, a lot of small businesses growing, lots of artists and initiative. I've loved it. Fell in love on my first visit down here, and I haven't looked back once.  (Dec 16, 2008 | post #363)
