Good Friday devotion considers Jesus' dying words

I heard they have a new album coming out. Glad Ian Astbury dropped the new Doors act.  (Apr 22, 2011 | post #21)

Good Friday devotion considers Jesus' dying words

It wasn't meant to offend or blaspheme. Even in His greatest suffering He was still thinking of His followers.  (Apr 21, 2011 | post #15)

Be well. Live well. Treat others well. That about sums it up. Enjoy Holy Week, and keep it holy.  (Apr 21, 2011 | post #11)

Maxon-Dixon loses bid for Adams County casino

Someone who named themselves after a comic book character is calling others losers. That's funny.  (Apr 14, 2011 | post #110)

Maxon-Dixon loses bid for Adams County casino

One closed up shop within the last couple of years. The other is *meh*. What else?  (Apr 14, 2011 | post #109)

Price hike to hurt Gettysburg businesses?

Does the Foundation run the Eisenhower Farm, as well, or are they just selling tickets on behalf of NPS? The Eisenhower Farm tour itself has never been free, as far as I know.  (Apr 12, 2011 | post #27)

With no place to go

I'd say forget the B&B, Chick. Those are two great calendar ideas you have right there. Or maybe the B&B would be the starting venue to make those happen.  (Apr 11, 2011 | post #31)

Nah, we stop at the bookstore. And the restrooms are nice.  (Apr 11, 2011 | post #16)

Many tourists OK with ticket hike

Fair enough. I certainly am not aware of every college in all the small towns near me. As far as what determines what a college town is, everyone's mileage may vary. I think of Gettysburg as a college town where a major historical event happened. But that's me, I've never confused my opinion as being THE opinion. Hanover may be racist, for Pennsylvania. I couldn't say because I've never seen any issues whenever I've been there. What I would ultimately like to know is how the visitor center fees in Gettysburg compare to other national parks or similar historic sites. Are the costs of putting in a 9-figure facility at a time when many national parks are closed for periods of time being pushed directly to the visitor?  (Apr 8, 2011 | post #108)

The Bullets are actually a D-III power in quite a few sports. But colleges offer more than just sports. You know that. I'm not going to knock your own academic experience. I take it you don't go anywhere near downtown.  (Apr 8, 2011 | post #106)

A college as well as the Lutheran seminary. But if their existence is mere mythology because not many people know they are, I'm not sure what to say. Reality is, they are there, they are a major part of the town, and the students do what students do.  (Apr 8, 2011 | post #100)
