Letters on Homestead Heritage: Community or cult?

Hey Baaah, you wouldn't happen to know who "Nothead " is over at CARM, would you?  (Mar 30, 2013 | post #6503)

Baaah is more of a mutant hybrid troll, who feeds on himself.  (Mar 29, 2013 | post #6480)

You should seriously consider science fiction writing. You could be the next L. Ron Hubbard.  (Feb 24, 2013 | post #6035)

I gotta give you one thing Baaah. You can be fairly fascinating at times. I seldom wade through your multiple posts, mainly because folks who post 10 or 12 times in a row can usually be tossed into the looney tunes bin, without much thought. Especially on religion themed discussions. (If one can even call this board a "discussion board") However, I did read your latest blast, and have to admit that I enjoyed some of your posts. I question your choice of venues, but interesting is interesting, no matter where you find it. Part of what makes responding to you difficult is simply going back and trying to find where and when in your dissertation I discovered a nugget of interest. At any rate, as a supporter of our friends at Homestead, and as a random soul who inexplicably feels compelled and driven to at least attempt to challenge the baseless lies, vague rumors and outright attacks on HH; I must admit that I kind of like what you are doing here on Topix. You nicely dull the edge of the frothing and rabid malcontent mob's blade, which they are trying so desperately to twist into the backs of their former brothers and sisters at HH. I'm sure that these few words will fire up the ILTTTTs of the world to don their Inquisitioners robes, regather their torches and pitchforks, and get back to work on erecting their stakes and gathering their fuel with which to further roast HH. Help me out Baaah and give us another 20 posts, to bury and blur my words.  (Feb 6, 2013 | post #5770)

Ummmm, yeah. So, I think you missed the point, in its entirety. The same way you missed the rest of my post.  (Jan 17, 2013 | post #5639)

You are as bad as Obama, politicizing tragedies for either your own twisted gain, or to get high on little selfrighteous butterflies. You know just enough about a story to get it all mangled up, and still sound halfway credible. Problem is, the rest of the story destroys your politically motivated one. But let's not call your smear a smear and lie a lie, cuz that would be an example of HH style 'abuse' in your narrow minded world. Face it ILTTTT, you are thousands of miles and tens of years removed from HH. You really DON'T know what's going on there today. Deep inside, you are HAPPY to hear negative news out of Waco, because that justifies the egregious way you have treated them. These message boards fascinate you and draw you because way down deep, in the places you only go late at night, you know that HH isn't nearly the devil you make them out to be. In fact, God may just have been using them to reach out to you and love you, and you turned it down. For what. A career telling us all about how terrible they are?  (Jan 16, 2013 | post #5630)

Lemme get this straight. Twenty or thirty years ago you parted ways with Homestead. Good terms, bad terms, whatever, it was a loooong time ago. You moved on with life, they moved on with life. Decades pass. You read some 'testimonies' from anonymous other ex Homesteaders, posted on the web, and decide to launch a one woman smear campaign against HH. Homestead has let you alone for all those years, and yet, YOU decide to launch your smear campaign abusing HH, then you accuse anyone who calls you out, as being the abusive one!! It's mind boggling!! You castigate me for being abusive, and sure, I've used some incendiary language, but nothing I've said even comes close to how abusive you have been towards HH. Maybe someday you will be able to see that.  (Jan 16, 2013 | post #5619)

I've thought the same thing, that ILTTTT and ILJ are one in the same.  (Jan 15, 2013 | post #5615)

I guess it's time to shut this forum down then, lol. ILJ/ILTTTT have perched themselves way up high on their self appointed thrones of judgment, and pronounced and decreed cult status upon Homestead. That's all folks, don't forget your coats at the door, and drive safe! Something tells me we haven't heard the last out of them though. Maybe an encore performance? Huzzah huzzah, can't wait to hear more half baked theories and rumormongering.  (Jan 15, 2013 | post #5613)

And, yet again, you are also wrong as to the purpose of this thread. The purpose of this thread was a simple question; Is HH a community or cult. You and your ilk have since hijacked it, with bogus claims and trumped up tales of woe. Again, the devil must be quite happy with "Christians " like you! You afford him lots of vacation time!  (Jan 15, 2013 | post #5607)

He would not "loose" anything. You haven't a clue what you are talking about, and are making a fool of yourself. This herbal nonsense you are now jabbering about is bullcorn. I could go into great detail, explaining empirical evidence I personally have, that would prove you to have "loosed" your marbles. And maybe someday I will. But as for now I prefer to stay as flea free as possible. Another thing, Homestead has never sponsored anyone to defend them or engage with malcontents like you on message boards. Just FYI.  (Jan 15, 2013 | post #5606)

My belief system really is no concern of anonymous Internet users. But, if it happened not to be Christianity, after seeing the way ex Homesteaders treat their former brothers, all while claiming to be Christians, I darn sure wouldn't want to convert! The devil must be quite happy over all this. With "Christians " like these, he can afford some down time.  (Jan 14, 2013 | post #5602)

That's kinda funny. You accuse me of spewing hatred, judge my spiritual condition, and, claim part ownership of Jesus, all in one sentence. I am impressed!  (Jan 14, 2013 | post #5598)

You hit the nail on the head right there. Hundreds of messages, on this forum and others like it, can be summed up nicely in that one paragraph.  (Jan 13, 2013 | post #5591)
