Was anybody ever punished at school bare bottom?

I wasn't punished ever that way by a teacher, but my mom gave every teacher permission to do so.  (Jun 12, 2011 | post #315)

Obama says too much testing makes education boring

In my opinion, it's not the tests that make education boring, but the education itself. Our children are educated to past these test, not to learn anything and then take a test to see what they have learned. It's sad. Yes, i agree that our children should take less test, but our children need to be taught and encouraged to want to learn, not be taught to learn so they will past a test. Imaginations need to be encourages and built in our children. With out imaginations, there will be no future for our nation.  (Mar 29, 2011 | post #13)

New study: science teachers favor creationism

Best news I've heard yet! Of course this does not surprise me. Not just more science teachers but more scientist are believing and looking into creation and ID. It tells us that evolution might not be as factual and truthful as we might think. Now if only the American government get rid of the silly idea of Separation of Church and State. We need to return to our American Roots. http://www.youtube .com/watch?v=dlfEd JNn15E  (Feb 8, 2011 | post #2)

High court considers money going to religious schools

I'm all for the United States helping the Christian Church. Our founding fathers did and helped plant churches and supported missionaries as our country grew. So why do we say they believed in separation of Church and State, when they didn't? http://www.youtube .com/watch?v=dlfEd JNn15E  (Feb 8, 2011 | post #7)

I don't think he ignored the constitution. There is nothing in the constitution that says he can't teach his view on faith in science class. Even Thomas Jefferson said, "The Christian religion, when divested of the rags in which they [the clergy] have enveloped it, and brought to the original purity and simplicity of its benevolent Institutor, is a religion of all others most friendly to Liberty, Science, and the Freest expansion of the Human Mind." His letter of separation of church and state is being miss quoted today. http://www.usconst itution.net/jeffwa ll.html It should be us True Americans playing the "World Turn Upside Down" just as the British did when they lost the Revolutionary War.Our founding fathers would be going crazy right now. God have mercy on the United States.  (Jan 9, 2011 | post #101)

Unconstitutional? I don't think it's unconstitutional. In fact, it might be far more constitutional to teach creation than not. Our founding fathers encouraged it. "Far from being rivals or enemies, religion and law are twin sisters, friends, and mutual assistants. Indeed, these two sciences run into each other. The divine law, as discovered by reason and the moral sense, forms an essential part of both. James Wilson "If men of wisdom and knowledge, of moderation and temperance, of patience, fortitude and perseverance, of sobriety and true republican simplicity of manners, of zeal for the honour of the SUPREME BEING and the welfare of the commonwealth; if men possessed of these other excellent qualities are chosen to fill the seats of government, we may expect that our affairs will rest on a solid and permanent foundation."
