Fascism, American style

It only takes two words to describe the left's playbook in the "era" of Obama: Saul Alinsky. And another two words to describe today's blind liberal herd: Useful Idiots.  (Mar 14, 2011 | post #19)

GOP needs your money

That's what losers always say, OTR. Regardless, you've provided an opinion based on your own beliefs, minus fact of course. Reminds us of the racist, angry mob accusations the left heaped (and still heap) on the Tea Party, despite any evidence to prove such nasty claims, and a whole lot of evidence to refute them. It's no wonder you'd be a reticent to debate this one with me or anyone else as reality and facts have already proven you wrong - or do you need someone to attach the definitions of reality and fact for you?  (Mar 14, 2011 | post #17)

Fascism, American style

Ronald Reagan fired all the Air Traffic Controllers who went out on strike. He broke that union just as the current republican leaders are breaking today's public unions. So thar YOU go. If it were left up to the public unions (who you believe are fighting for worker rights) and politicians like Obama we would have something hypocritically called an "Employee Free Choice Act".Workers already have a free choice in secret-ballot elections conducted under existing laws. As more and more workers in the private sector have voted to reject having a union represent them, the unions' answer has been to take away secret-ballot elections. Under the "Employee Free Choice Act," unions would not have to win in secret-ballot elections in order to represent the workers. Instead, union representatives could simply collect signatures from the workers until they had a majority. Why do we have secret ballots in the first place, whether in elections for unions or elections for government officials? To prevent intimidation and allow people to vote how they want to, without fear of retaliation. There's your freedom and there's the pubic unions trying to take it away from their workers. We all have a pretty good idea of what ol' Ronnie would think of that! "The most fundamental fact about labor unions is that they do not create any wealth. They are one of a growing number of institutions which specialize in siphoning off wealth created by others, whether those others are businesses or the taxpayers. There are limits to how long unions can siphon off money from businesses, without facing serious economic repercussions. " Thomas Sowell  (Mar 14, 2011 | post #17)

What does that have to do with bigotry? You guys just spin a rolodex to come up with your next baseless accusation. Interestingly, all we hear from the left is how the GOP is in the pockets of the fat cat corporations. Well, reality has once again proven them wrong, but rather than learn from yet another mistake, the left just spins the wheel and takes to mocking the right for not being funded by the fat cat corporations. Any way the wind blows, eh :) As for fuel prices, we're all well-aware of the left's double-standards, and the dead-ass silence from them over the current price at the pumps is yet another example of real-world evidence proving who's got it right and who's just a hypocritical liberal lapdog for the party.  (Mar 14, 2011 | post #15)

Democracy, something the left continuously touts until it doesn't go their way. "I have concerns about some of the language that is being used because I saw … I saw this myself in the late ’70s in San Francisco,", sniff sniff gurgle ...“This kind of rhetoric is just, is really frightening and it created a climate in which we, violence took place and … I wish that we would all, again, curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements that are made..." Where's Nanc now?  (Mar 14, 2011 | post #15)

Fascism, American style

Somehow according to the cool kids crowd and their Yale professors, conservatives have managed to take one giant leap from Cro-magnum mentality of "Obama Bad", "Palin Good" as of last week, to being credited with a highly complex and long-planned operation of implementing Christian Capitalist Fascism rule over America today! Evidently ignorant and racist just isn't enough for the left, now they've digressed to wild accusations of fascism - and why this time? Because we're putting a cork in the public union corruption machine?? Oh, the humanity! "Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn’t so." Ronald Reagan.  (Mar 14, 2011 | post #14)

Republicans to set trap and then spring it

Let's see .. what was it you wrote when conservatives were saying the same thing about Nancy Pelosi pole-vaulting a POS health reform bill jammed full of lies and hidden expenses down America's throat? Oh yes .... Wwaaaaaaaa! Karma, baby. Public union's chickens are coming home to roost. If you neo-liberals don't like it then it's undoubtedly good for America, our economy and our future. I'm perfectly happy making my success on my own merits and not paying for those who depend on union fat cats to launder sweet deals so they don't have to live by the same rules. I fully suspect one or more of you pro-union lunatics to commit some violence before this over. There's already been vandalism, law-breaking and death threats from your angry mobs of drum-bangers. Just remember - all those nasty little accusations you made about "TeaBaggers " and conservatives are going to get thrown right back atcha when the real party of violence, bigotry and hate rears it's ugly head. And America is now fully awake and watching.  (Mar 12, 2011 | post #49)

Republicans to set trap and then spring it

Oh, the anger ... oh, the drama ... LOL. YES ... I AM HITLER Reincarnate!! Just like I was a gun-toting racist angry teabagger bible-thumping mob when you liberals got your panties in a wad the last time you didn't get your way. You still haven't offered any convincing proof of any of those wild accusations - not that it stops the left from carrying on with their own version of reality. Stop putting over-the-top words in other folk's mouths, Amazarak. I never said this was "all the teachers fault" - you just deemed me to have to try and strengthen your weak argument. On the other hand, if you want to go pick up a bucket and start banging on it like the union Cheeseheads in Wisconsin, that's fine by me. It's entertaining as all get out! But what's happening is not an attack on workers and it's not fascism for pity's sake. It's democracy. It's cutting spending and ensuring people are judged on the merit of their effort and productivity, not by the wheeling and dealing of union bosses and politicians. The left just happens not to be getting what they want in this case so they've flung themselves on the floor in full tantrum again.  (Mar 12, 2011 | post #39)

Enough with the teeth-gnashing drama from the pro-union crowd. Fascism? LOL. Only a liberal could spin true democracy into that. What you're seeing, and obviously not liking, is democracy in action - not democrats in action (unless you count the Wisconsin Cheesehead drum -bangers climbing through windows to squat in city hall). The nation of taxpayers and "working guys" spoke, elected conservatives who recognize the corrupt money funneling union scam, and are putting a stop to it ... and I, as one of the real working guys crowd, say it's about time! As for the "voice of the working guy" being destroyed, you've got it backwards. The real working guy has been footing the bill for overpaid, under-producing, union members and their corrupt union bosses for 50 years - our kids, who've been tragically let-down by a completely failed public school system, have paid with an inadequate education to compete in the real world, while having their little noodles filled with a bunch of liberal hogwash. In the end, all that's happening here is an end to some folks getting paid for doing nothing or failing at whatever it is they've been doing while their leaders enjoy the fruits and power of everyone else's labors. Welcome to the real world, Arctic - where you actually succeed or fail by your talents and productivity. Fascism? LOL ...  (Mar 12, 2011 | post #29)

Wisconsin governor refuses to back down on public unions ...

I have an idea that picking asparagus is beyond your ability, Bob. Regardless, it has nothing to do with this topic and your inane insults have no place here. On second thought, the fact people like you consider good honest work like picking asparagus below you is one reason things have gotten into the mess they have, where a bunch of overly-compensated clock-punchers feel they're entitled to more benefits than everyone else for doing half the work. Seems to me unions are getting a boot full of well-earned karma right on the backside.  (Feb 26, 2011 | post #56)

What they understand is he can hit the shit out of a baseball. Ballplayers have traditionally been rule-breakers, drinkers and free-spirits. They play ball, entertain us, and in return make loads of money. If the guy wants to drink like a fish he's going to.  (Feb 26, 2011 | post #8)

Wisconsin governor refuses to back down on public unions ...

Speaking of wasting time on Topix - more personal troll-attacks from Bob. Shocker! Interesting how the "highly-educa ted and perpetually tolerant" left stoops to any level to degrade a discussion to swamp-level when reality doesn't go the way they want it to. Not too long ago we were instructed by liberals to accept the fact that the voters elected a democrat and we "right-wing wackos" would just have to sit down, shut up and live with the consequences. "That's how politics work!", we were chastised in many colorfully-worded fashions, and getting angry, insulting and protesting about it amounted to nothing short of anti-American, dangerous party hackism. It was downright uncouth! Lest we forget the tearful plea from former Speaker Nancy Pelosi ... sniff sniff. Fast-forward a few short years and we see the proverbial worm has turned on the once smug liberal herd, once oh-so concerned about large gatherings of Tea Party "baggers " and their unrestrained defiance of the democratic system. Haven't we held democratic elections? Haven't the voters spoken in Wisconsin and across the country?? Haven't the people of Wisconsin decided to empower the republicans? So much for sit down and shut up reverence to the consequences of the American electoral process - the left is ANGRY!! Therefore it's perfectly acceptable for their government officials to flee their responsibilities, perfectly acceptable for their pro-union workers to refuse to work, and perfectly acceptable for useful idiots like ol' Bob to carry on like a spoiled child who had his crayons taken away from him.  (Feb 26, 2011 | post #54)
