I must say the three or four of you that post here are entertaining. At least you have managed to stay civil in your conversations and disagreements which is not common on this site. Sweet Melody I agree you should keep your name to yourself on here, there are many on this site that would use it as an opportunity to attack you personally wihthout basis or the sack to face you. Not sure what Mr/Mrs Lector's desire to out you is, but I'm sure it will be revealed in time.  (Jan 4, 2012 | post #1071)

Donnie Tinnell is running again in 2014 thank GOD

So, just for arguments sake, who would your command be? Let's go with the current ranks; you have Sherrif, chief deputy, Lt Col., 4 platoon sergeants, and two investigative sergeants. I'm not taking sides, nor saying you are right or wrong. Just wondering what you think.  (Dec 30, 2011 | post #70)

Whoa Trigger, when one contemplates homicide it is best to not discuss the details on a web forum. Well that is unless you are able to hop your IP adress or other counter measures. This is my tip of the day.  (Dec 14, 2011 | post #992)

Paranormal investagations

I got you. You are the first to give me any kind of backing to your statements. Not saying I agree or disagree with you, but at least you have a reason other an politics.  (Dec 8, 2011 | post #24)

Paranormal investagations

Wow, so you are saying there is absolutely no good part to the Sheriff's office? Everyone is in-effective? Is that just your opinion or do you have some facts that might back up that statement? What I mean by facts is showing crime up etc...not some issues individuals had many years ago. I keep reading statements like yours all over this site but have yet to read anything to back it up. I will give you may know these from the Sheriff''s office better than I but I have seen nothing that remotely matches what you claim. I work in the same field as they do but with another agency and have dealt with the SO on several occasions and have seen them put in work as well as any other agency in your county, if not better in most areas. I can say that when I call for assistance they show up and help which does not always happen from other agencies. I'm starting to believe that 90% of rants like yours are people that fall into one of a few categories; some one that was locked up by the SO, someone that was on the other side politically, or a disgruntled employee or ex-employee. Not saying that any of those don't have valid grips but please give facts and stop with childish personal attacks. Ok sorry for interrupting the ghost thread, now back to the paranormal stuff.  (Dec 8, 2011 | post #20)

Hillview Mayor`s son busted for meth

Why not take the "officer " tag off and just say anyone found having sex while on the job should be barred from that profession? Sex is not illegal so by creating your law anyone found having sexual contact while on the clock would do so. It is unrealistic to single out only one profession out of all of them. Now if you are making the statement about having "unlawful " sexual contact then don't waste your time that is already in the KRS as illegal. Look if a grand jury did not indict someone for a crime that means that the 12 average citizens saw absolutely no merit in the case. Truly anyone could be indicted for just about anything so that leads one to believe there really was absolutely no merit to the case. Anyone can be accused of anything in this time and that does not mean they are guilty. Just recently a young boy accused a man of sexual assault and later recanted, but this mans name was still drug through the mud. I'm not attacking this instance just pointing out that one must have more than accusations alone to merit guilt. Yes guilty people walk free and I don't like it, but if we did not have some system of checks and balances those with authority would go to far. I have never heard nor seen any evidence that would convict in the Chiefs situation. I've talked to many that claimed to "know", but when pressed further their information was second and third hand and never from anyone that was actually there. Over time the story has evolved and more and more say they "know", but yet have no substance behind the claim.  (Nov 1, 2011 | post #32)

Hillview Mayor`s son busted for meth

I always find it interesting how individuals deflect in situations like this. One young man committe a crime, but 80% of the posts are about two other people. Yes one is the offenders father, but take the fact that this father is an elected official and there would not be much mention of him. Then to reach as far as to say this is all strategic revenge is just comical. I have no doubt that there is history between the mayor and the chief deputy but that has nothing to do with this. This young man will pay for his deads and unfortunately it will cost his father in many ways to include monitary as it pertains to the clean up of his garage. It won't change my opinion of the mayor or the chief. These posts are just hilarious in the sense that they are deflecting blame off those responsible.  (Nov 1, 2011 | post #31)

Hillview Mayor`s son busted for meth

So let me see if I have this correct, this whole arrest is a political move by John Cottrell? For that to happen all the evidence; i.e. the meth, the stuff to make it, etc... Must have been planted by the arresting officer/officers. Man that is one heck of a political move. If that's not it then maybe all this stuff was there and the political move was that Cottrell got the information and sicked his hounds on it in the dead of the night? Ok, enough sarcasm. If all this was present in the garage then the son is guilty. It's just like if you run a stop sign, your guilty. It would seem that one would be more worried about a person living near you making a dangerous drug with dangerous chemicals as opposed to political ramifications. Stop trying to deflect the true issue here. This has nothing to do with Cottrell or Mayor Eadens, it has to do with Eadens son. Yes you are responsible for what is in your home, but truth be told it doesn't take anytime to make the meth and everything needed to make it could be easily hidden in plain sight. Look don't take offense dude, but you have to admit your take on this is a major stretch. I don't mean to attack or offend but come on man. The son is the guilty party due to committing the act. The Mayor may have some issues due to his sons actions but that is not his fault, nor is it the Chief Deputys fault for having narcotics detectives that did their job.  (Oct 31, 2011 | post #10)

New Topic: I am hearing that things in Shepherdsville City Government may be reaching a settling point. At one time it seemed that most everyone would lose their jobs and now that is slowing down. The police department had about 26-27 and now is below 20 officers, but I'm told they are no longer talking of cutting pay and positions anymore so that may keep police from leaving. What have you heard? Mind you please attempt to keep it positive and truthful.  (Oct 13, 2011 | post #15)

CABLE, INTERNET, and PHONE DEALS

Ok, i will play along. I have Insight and have the bundle, but my bill is over $200.00. Explain to me how you can get it for $90.00. I have had your service for two years and it has only gone up in price. I have also been looking around at the services trying to lower my bill and the best I could do with lower service was about $20.00. So tell me how I can get it cut in half and stay that way.  (Oct 11, 2011 | post #8)

The band rocked with David and went soft when Sammy came along. They still played great music with Sammy, but was soft. Sammy rocked more solo than with Van Halen.  (Oct 9, 2011 | post #17)
