Gay Marriage - Albany, OR

Isn't it Christians who are supposed to keep their light under a barrel and worship within thier own closets? Ironic choice of paraphrase, but not as ironic as a god fearing human quoting their opinion based on incorrect facts, and thalmic response. Good Way to Address Nonsense, just an update there are now 24 States who recognize a persons right to marry whom they choose.  (May 29, 2014 | post #37)

Gay Marriage - Albany, OR

How sad that a political discussion has turned once again to theology to solve each side. There are 13 or more States that support everyones right to marry, That is the truth, not what was written by a homosexual who was afraid to come out but kept his lover at the court. You know King James. He is the one you quote when you quote the Bible. Any Gutenberg bibles out there?  (Jan 20, 2014 | post #32)

KLAMOYA ISSUES Part Three

Where else are we going to speak freely? Freedom of speech is needed. We have very few revenue streams that are providing all of the money we as a tribe use. Now we need to expand businesses that can bring in money., If the EDC gives a grant what about a pay back to the tribe if the business is successful? How about we try to fix tha casinos management by a vote of no confidence? Loved the feathers pun. Thanks for the smile. You can't fix the way things were. Just the way they are. .  (Jan 14, 2014 | post #99)

tribal courts?

So far my understanding was that a juvenile court was created because of the constitutional mandate for a tribal court. Then someone I know went to work for the judge and instantly, stuff started coming down. If the judge that is representing our court as a duly elected official of our nation, is acting in any manner that hints of corruption or misuse of power, it is our responsibility to audit the department, and attend to the accusations. As a tribe we are very contentious, and being active now in this achievement of transparency will only empower us to keep doing that. We run the administration, so lets do that. Let us take responsibility for our current situation. Let us fix what is really wrong now, we don't know how much time or how many members may be effected by continued looking the other way or worse. pretending that there is no corruption nepotism nortribal infighting will cost us this year alone. Not to mention the coming one.  (Dec 20, 2013 | post #33)

Responsibility rests with our GRC. They should be replaced completly along with the rest of the house cleaning that needs to take place over there. There are a wealth of people who want to change who are sick and disparing of the economic waste that the Klamoya casino represents to our people is not only disheartening, but borders on the suspect.  (Dec 20, 2013 | post #61)

Klamath Tribes and feds exercise water rights in Oregon, ...

Your insensative comment shows your ignorance. Some Modoc's feel deprived because we historically have and never will get along with the Klamath's under the current lack of priority for all things Modoc. Klamaths have their language, Paiute's (Yahooskin Band of Snake Indians) do too. Modocs nope. So understand that you may be sick of hearing about their feelings then do something about it help fix it. Then after that we can have a further discussion of Modoc Klamath relations. Not untl.  (Dec 20, 2013 | post #50)

Blood Quantum Vote of the Klamath Tribes setup for Failure!

No you run you coward. You are so afraid of whites you forgot to be an Indian. Please you want to destroy us all? Keep it up and by the way, there are more then one tribe who uses other methods to include their children, and the Majority of Tribes use different methods. You advocate the BIA's methods of blood quantum measurement. They were created to split us up as families. This argument was raised at a meeting in Klamath Falls in the 70's when Vernon Bellencourt and Lee Brightman of AIM addressed it they said that we should respect every person who is defining themselves as "American Indians" if you enrolled you matter. If you are not you still matter and if you are included you are invincible. You speak old crap like it was new or relevent.  (Jul 2, 2013 | post #162)

tribal elections

Recently I travelled north to visit a friend who is dying of brain cancer, I talked to a young man who works at train mountain who told me that there was intense fear that the Indian tribes were going to try to take away the operation and the land. Further fears are all over Klamath County blaming our tribes for thier woes over water. I have lived in drought with the small exception of last year for almost 40 years. I live in the agriculture capital of the world and we practice drought farming techniques. We have more golf courses than you can spit at and they are world class, but no Indians, No Native Culture, Nothing but Lettuce. We don't have to have that happen to us. Oh yeah and if you farmers are looking for sympathy, it is somewhere in the dictionary between shit and syphilis, look it up.  (Jul 2, 2013 | post #98)

Maybe if the farmers stopped dressing, talking and acting...

That is a movie Pilgrim. Not real life. John Wayne is also dead. So is this water argument until it rains.  (Jul 2, 2013 | post #6)

Yet another well thought out opinion from someone who is obviously an expert on what Indians do and don't do. I am sorry that you do not understand that salmon come up rivers to lakes and that dams stop that, that pesticides from farm lands have raised the temperature of the water as much as any other environmental issue and we are talking about business men, not poor children in Africa. Companies that are trying to steal rights not theirs and I am so tired of this kind of treatment by the Klamath Settlers. Just like the white community lied and stole Modoc territory that was desired by the settlers in 1864, we once again see them trying to comandeer our resources. Air, Water, Earth (minerals) and fire are the elements that unite us. Greed divides us. Personal agendas divide us. However, we may not endure one more racist comment, one more piece of advice about how easily misled we are, we will not endure it any longer. We are united in this battle. Beleive it.  (Jul 2, 2013 | post #21)

summer mayhem

You prove that you don't know anything about what you are saying and to whom you are speaking, and that doesn't seem to matter to the Big Dummy you are. Wow could you prove us any more right?  (May 22, 2013 | post #43)
