Letters: Inaccurate letter on 'Congress perks'

This URL is a summary of an HHS report on Obamacare projected to 2010. It also links to the original report: http://healthcare. nationalreview.com /post/?q=Y2U5YjAzM jkxODY1YTViYmNjN2J jNGZjYWY4ZjliNDc=  (Apr 26, 2010 | post #12)

Letters: Inaccurate letter on 'Congress perks'

Reyes must be frightened. He sent a lackey to monitor that local Tea Party shindig the other day. Naturally, the hired help was pointed out by a speaker. I think the Chief of Staff is motivated to write this letter by that which scares him the most: losing his jobs and the perks he inaccurately describes.  (Apr 25, 2010 | post #4)

Post barracks meet Fort Bliss' high standards

Don't reenlist? :) Just hold the phone until you get to Bliss. The construction of new barracks is still underway, will be a few more years before all the BCTs are completed. And the barracks on main post are a mix of concrete/awful and pretty snazzy buildings. Nothing to do about stupid roommates.  (Apr 25, 2010 | post #11)

Hot ticket: Bill Maher

IceT" from Irving. Irving T. I get it. You must have gotten too much ice this morning, though. Nice tweaks, freak. Hey, you're not really Maher, are you?  (Apr 3, 2010 | post #27)

Hot ticket: Bill Maher

"Hot Ticket" Seriously?? His show is so low-rated that he is stuck peddling his left-wing hatred, and borderline racism, in El Paso. Gotta keep that money coming in somehow. 'Cause it's all about the Cause, not the Capitalism. http://idisk.me.co m/pfaelzer/Public/ bill_maker_typical _pose.jpg  (Apr 3, 2010 | post #5)

Highway response teams to be inactivated

The money goes to things like museum upgrades and controversial statues, at the expense of infrastructure repair -- like roads and bridges. Or properly funding first responder programs. Every time a budget is in the black, cash is rushed out to appease fringe interests at the expense of the general well-being of the public. It's like a government can't just SAVE the money for hard times. We're trained to do that, but we elect people who aren't.  (Mar 13, 2010 | post #5)

Ramon Renteria: Being fat is not that big a deal

Don't think that the hard worklife killed them before their prime -- maybe in it -- but that worklife sure kept the pounds off.  (Feb 28, 2010 | post #17)

City wants potholes reported

I'm with Sebas, and I recall a site that had a way to graphically report road problems. I reported several in my area back then using this. If I'm not mistaken, it was the ELP Times that did it. Maybe the city could generate up a GIS web page.  (Feb 15, 2010 | post #10)

UTEP gets 46 votes in AP Top 25 college basketball poll

Pittsburgh and A&M over UTEP? Seriously? The polls are about marketing as much as talent by the players. The rest of the country will wake up to UTEP, soon enough, yet too late. As usual.  (Feb 15, 2010 | post #2)

Juarez authorities hope panic buttons help thwart bus rob...

"City officials have also asked parents to accompany their children on buses to help increase security." Maybe the parents should be allowed to be armed, as well.  (Feb 15, 2010 | post #1)
