Intelligent Design vs. Evolution: Evolution wins again. [Greg L...

That is the classical solution for a bearing ball rolling back and forth inside of a bowl. E is the energy of the ball and is less than V, the potential energy at the rim of the bowl. In quantum mechanics, psi is the non-zero probability that the ball is outside of the bowl. Shubee's argument is that not only can the ball be outside the bowl but that there is also a non-zero probability that the bowl and ball can transform into St. Peter. (4 hrs ago | post #449)

It's a 1951 Schwinn converted from Ma & Pa to 1970's. I just brazed all the cable stops, shift bosses, H2O mounts, etc. to bring it up to late eighties. Put a final coat of dark grey metallic on it about 2 hours ago. It's chrome-moly and should come in at about 35 pounds. That's my sister and I at the corner of Haight and Ashbury at the start of a trip from San Francisco to Seattle this September. Problem is that the Pacific coast is either straight up or straight down so we turned around after three days and took the train. (7 hrs ago | post #165)

Intelligent Design: Coming To A State Legislature Near You
There would have been no wine problem at all if the guests knew enough to hide the wine under their chariot seats to keep the freeloaders from guzzling it. (8 hrs ago | post #34684)
Scientist:Death does not exist(article)
Apparently you do not understand the physics behind this article. What it means is that if a hillbilly has a brick wall with two windows in it and hits his head as hard as he can, halfway between those windows, he will come out on the other side. This really works. Try it. (8 hrs ago | post #3)
E*psi(x)=(hbar^2/2 m)L²psi(x)+V(x)psi (x) Where L² is the Laplace operator and everything else is intuitively obvious to the casualest of observers. (8 hrs ago | post #447)
It's the Darwin crowd that lacks the facts in evolution debate
You probably missed one or two right-wing talking points. Honestly, would you rather have your kids go to UNC Asheville or Trinity Bible College? (14 hrs ago | post #19405)

Sorry. Replenish is crystal clear. It means replace what you use. Not a christian virtue to my knowledge. (15 hrs ago | post #19397)

I did not rely on Usshar, all of the 'begats' are in are in the bible. It takes about an half hour. I got 5500 years. The bible does not say that god rested in the seventh year, millenia, or eon; it says he rested on the seventh day. God gives you intellect and reason. You may choose to take the bible literally or to interpret it. You cannot choose both. (15 hrs ago | post #19393)

Lying for Jesus has no effect on reality; it only puts your intellect into question and imperils your soul. You will be laughed out of the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology on the UNM campus if you bring your nonsense up there. I hear you went to Rio Grande. Did you finish? (15 hrs ago | post #1613)
At least he is consistent in his inconsistency. Maybe one is human and one is a chimp. Bipoler? Drug addled? Who knows? (16 hrs ago | post #162)

That is only true if you have some recognized authourity to speak for him. The fact that Dante enumerates who goes to heaven and who does not or Milton describes in detail the conversation between the woman and the snake or Leucius describes Andrew hanging upside-down in no way conveys any authority to you, or them. Just as valid as 'because he wanted to' is 'because he had to', 'because he erred', or 'because he was just monkeyin' around'. (16 hrs ago | post #19377)

Do I have to enumerate all the 'dinglefritz lived ninety nine years and begat dingbat" from Adam to Jesus? I can't. there is a bit of uncertainty here in Genesis: "25": And Nahor lived after he begat Terah an hundred and nineteen years, and begat sons and daughters. "26": And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran. Also an uncertainty of about an hundred years for the birth of David. Regardless, the upper bound for creation is less than 4000 years bce. It's your bible and it's all in Genesis, Kings, Numbers, and Matthew. Perhaps you are unaware of this. BH at the FP. That's awesome! (17 hrs ago | post #19376)
