Al-Qaeda is a creation of the USA.

It is a known fact that "al qadea" was a creation of the FBI/CIA a long time ago- they freely admit to it. It had alot to do with the Russia/Afgan war, and the Mujahideen-and their /training/help during Operation Cyclone. For further info, a good read is on wikipedia. http://en.wikipedi a.org/wiki/Al-Qaed a and http://en.wikipedi a.org/wiki/Operati on_Cyclone  (Oct 8, 2011 | post #8)

one cop stoping as much as 30 people in one night

I think county, but my scanners been off for a few days. This used to be a common tactic for a "newbi" road patrol officer- GSP was notorious for it. They`d take an officer that had put in their time, put them behind the wheel, and tell them to get some experience. I was "targeted " one day in Gainesville for driving without headlights at 4:30pm. Oddly, the lady GSP officer was the one who gave me my first license. As we talked, she wrote up the warning and apologized, said it was her first day and she was in "training "-it was almost as if she winked...an understanding if you will. She patroled the strip in Gainesville for several days, stopping everything in sight- Now, I cant claim to know whos doing all this stopping in our county, but if he/she is doing it to gain "experience ", I wish him/her luck-- times have changed, people talk, and unfairly stopping and issueing warnings left and right wont get you a gold star in todays world. It sure will garner alot of unwelcome attention though.  (Jan 3, 2011 | post #10)

One could interject a simple thing here- If MY wife and family are in the medical field, and we knew what to do in this situation, and knew that steps were not being followed....I believe I wouldnt post it like you did- someone in the future may read that and ask a simple thing- "why didnt you say something?". What my wife and family would have done, was stand up and say something, anything, at the point where we knew something was wrong or not being done to our satisfaction- as is our right. I believe your situation was different. I want to believe that. I want to think you just ripped off that statement in haste without really thinking on it. hopeing for a speedy recovery!  (Jan 3, 2011 | post #23)

As are we all happy hes alive, and well- I hope. Assumeing surgury was succcessful? query: how was the airway obtained before EMS arrived? Im curious only because if it happens to me (in a same situation) I want to know how- the way you wrote it,it sounds like he was intibated, but you said before EMS arrived. Did you mean CPR was successful and he had enough airway to start/continue breathing?(did EMS not intibate him once they took over if you didnt clear the bstruction?) In the same situation, I`d think emergency tracheotomy- slice above the adams apple if the obstruction is above it and cant be removed/expelled. Best wishes for the speedy recovery.  (Jan 3, 2011 | post #22)

correct-> Thank the goverment for making it cheaper and more cost productive to move big business out of USA. Why would any major corp. stay when you can make 100% more by just picking up and moving?  (Jan 3, 2011 | post #6)

We now live in a "throw away" society. It is kept this way by the people who we elect into office. I miss the slogan from the 70s "Made in the USA" and "Proudly Made in the USA" Because if it didnt say "USA" on it, people would not buy it. Now its near impossible to find "Made in the USA. I try and find thrift stores that carry the old electronics- they last.  (Jan 2, 2011 | post #4)

Ive known Doc Moore for years- well before he came here. I believe he does a turn in the ER- Some questions that come to my mind- if the male was dead at the scene of the accident, I assume he was resuscitated. At some point the cause of this (the blockage) should have been brought to someones attention- "why were you going to the hospital?" "why cant this man breathe"-shou ld have been one of the questions asked. Even under extreme stress, the paramedics/doctors /orderlies know the drill- its called ABC. Airway, Breathing, and Cardio- the airway is the first thing checked, period. I doubt an xray would have shown an abcess- an MRI might have..I guess it depends. second guessing here, but pain meds and nausa medication would have slowed resperations down causing more oxygen to be available to the patient by relaxation. I was told once by the doc at the ER that anything that cant deal with right away, anything life threatening, they fly the patient to the nearest hospital (as soon as they can stabilize) that can deal with it to hopefully save the persons life. Flying saves time and saves lives. If theres no time, they deal with it and do the best they can. Hopefully in the future we`ll get a true critical care facility here- we all know theres a need. One could even take a guess that if the person "in flight/transport " had the blockage expand further, they may have been able to intibate him and prolong the ability for life to contine without extreme measures. Its not uncommon to be intibated upon arrival at any ER where you have a blockage of the windpipe-(which is a suprise to me he was not) Its hard to second guess a doc`s reasoning- but I bet if you asked him he`d give you his reasoning for doing what he did. Ask him- cant hurt.  (Jan 2, 2011 | post #5)

and a happy new year to you as well. so the gravel the lady wanted and couldnt get, that was explained why she didnt get, that someone claimed was not gravel, that I explained was...now is....extraordinar y! Thanks every so much. what a boring post to start the year off with. Lets discuss Northerners and thier ability to teach us Southeners what we need to know to survive....`cause appearnetly we aint doing so well after all this time.(Although I do bow to their ability to drive in snow-they live in it) crap- lets make it a happy post. You win- gravel is gravel. I was mistaken. The gravel I speak of is not the gravel you speak of. Your right.  (Jan 1, 2011 | post #12)

oh great Floridian, please educate us locals on what the salt trucks spread on our miserable icy roads. Teach us what "gravel" is, for we know not what we speak of......because it takes someone whos not from here to tell us whats going on. I`d be more than happy to set you up with several properties that are for sale- you can have your pick of one, two, or all...prices are great right now, open your wallet. When your done, we`ll all happily leave....with your money. I`ll use it to buy my dream home and fence it off so people like you cant tell me my home isnt up to your high level of perfection. ahem "all kidding aside"... I think I see the problem. What you term "gravel" is that big blocky chunk rock, usually made of chip granite. What we call gravel is just about everything EXCEPT crush and run-from #1 on up. To us, its all gravel-when we order it, its BIG gravel for fill,or small gravel for driveway, or crush and run gravel. Forgive us for not being precise to suite your ever strict needs. What is being spread is gravel, but to you its more like the small pea-rock that Florida Rock and Sand used to sell, but not the colored type- the rough chip edge style. They use it when the ambient tempeture is too low to use salt, or salt gravel mix. They use sand salt or salt rock on snow, gravel on ice. It really depends on what they have stocked during the summer. The door is right behind you, please shut it quietly as you leave, and have a happy new year. Or maybe a flashy comeback is in order...start that new year off right! Or do we need to have someone grab a sample off the road, send it down to FSU and have the geology department analyze it, just to tell you your wrong, which will make about zero difference to anyone here? ie: we really dont care, but we`ll play along because were bored and like makeing fun of you.  (Dec 31, 2010 | post #10)

Since your a fellow Floridian I`ll explain- and you`d have known I was if you`d gone back that far,and you`d also have found several "Residents "-(Im -Resident-, not to be confused with Resident who is 100% better than me at this, or resident, a neat little old lady whos never hurt a fly but can pound a keyboard) so- being a Floridian, you`ll understand "how" I say this, because "this" is what your used to. The lady said gravel."u can only have one load of gravel per year " Gravel is that stuff we use on roads that arent paved. Its that stuff you "new to Georgia" people fling onto our windshields because you cant seem to drive on anything but pavement. She said Gravel- we spread gravel on roads when they get ruts or too muddy to drive on. Roads usually gets 1 load a year if funds allow or the road is in bad shape. Roads that already have had a layer dont get more, because its an expenditure the county cant afford- those roads *may* get salt if conditions allow. Current conditions didnt allow it because salt wont eat ice below a certain temp., and gravel trucks wont come out on ice at any rate- its a liability to the county. people are usually advised NOT to travel when its that bad- we do it anyway. We take our chances. We have to have money for food and all that stuff. when you say "or for that matter even where she lived", I say he/she typed "walking down a mt "- so, Floridian, she lives up on a mountain. We shorten our words here- so, mt means mountain- its those tall things you drive over doing 1mph- (thats 1 mile per hour in city speak)- because your scared your going to fall off the end of the earth, or the road will end....weve seen your kind...I WAS ONE of your kind, you cant hide it, I know. following that- you need to read into whats written more- when one types "kidding aside", it basicly means everything typed before that is written as a joke, something to lighten the post up before information is given. Dont fret, its a common Floridian mistake to take everything you see as the truth written- and like knights in shiny armor you wade into it to protect the weak...for whatever reason... was it my business? not in the least. But rest assured the world is a better place now that you have called me on it, wrote that Im a bovine (we call them cows by the way) and had your say. Youve now got your say into the matter, and probably patted yourself on the back by solveing this important problem. We as a group salute you for your thoughtfull input into this matter.(were actually just happy to have someone to argue with on topix, its been getting stale) ie: Your post sucked. Welcome to Georgia. ps: responce is spelled response. Any good Floridian knows that much. Move up, leave that place and you might understand what a beautiful area this is....and we need your tax dollars. Aint much left down there anymore anyway. mooooo.  (Dec 31, 2010 | post #6)

Not that its any of my business, but since when did the county provide gravel "per snow, per year"? to help people get to work? free gravel? who do I call to get in on this? I want my free gravel! kidding aside, if its a county road, throwing gravel at it would provide some traction. But the countys not going to throw gravel on a road that already has been graveled-  (Dec 30, 2010 | post #2)

YOUR internet no longer

unfortunatly, it isnt "ours" now- nor has it been for awhile- your emails are intercepted, your online converstions recorded, websites blocked-prefered treatment for higher bandwidth payers, all for the good of the people. most- but not all- have no idea, nor do they want to know- as long as they can get online, their happy....98% of the common surfers wont ever know the difference.....but I`m on your side, I dont want big brother to have a say on where I go an what I do.... this "lame Duck" congress sure isnt being lame...their throwing things up there (mostly on Sundays) and gtting things (mostly bad) passed...that food bill is another one- Old Harry Reid drug that one outa the dead pile, walked it up front....and it passed the senate...it passed. ewwwwwww. Thats gonna hurt. Time to invest in Tums...is there a tax on THAT yet?  (Dec 21, 2010 | post #2)

Dream Act Defeated for Now

I came here(was brought) illegally when I was 2, and worked soon as I was able. I got into college....but now I wont have a chance to become a real US citizen". What stopped you before? What stopped ALL who wanted to be US citizens before this bill was introduced? Simple answer- They didnt want to be US citizens, because then they would have to PAY for it,or WORK for it. Why be a citizen when you can get so much for free anyway? It still stands today- you WANT to be one of us, do the RIGHT thing and BECOME a US citizen- stop waiting for someone to hand it to you.  (Dec 19, 2010 | post #4)
