No bowl should mean no poll for ineligible NCAA squads

Just because a team is not eligible to play in the post season, it does not mean they should automatically be precluded as a choice for voters to pick as a top 25 team if they believe that team is one of the 25 best. Furthermore, it makes no sense to leave them out of the AP poll. This poll has no association with the BCS NC game. And on one final note, don't you think putting tOSU in the polls as a top ranked team provides that much more sting to the punishment? "Look where you would be if you hadn't messed up!" This was a hack story. If tOSU is better than Va Tech, then they are just better. Regardless of their post-season eligibility, Stupid.  (Oct 30, 2012 | post #12)

Tom Brady is Overrated

Seems you are the one with that doesn't know what he is talking about: "Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel announced Monday that Brady Quinn will be under center when the Chiefs play Oakland on Sunday, and Matt Cassel will serve as the backup for the foreseeable future after struggling mightily through the first five games of the season." http://www.news-le ader.com/viewart/2 0121023/SPORTS0304 /310230024/kansas- city-chiefs-brady- quinn-matt-cassel Cassel sucks yet went 11-5 with the Patriots. He went elsewhere and was exposed as a mediocre QB.  (Oct 25, 2012 | post #10061)

President a Muslim? 18% say yes

Obama has said that as a young adult, the churches in Chicago impressed him with their commitment to social justice and the hope they gave to the poor. "It was because of these newfound understandings that I was finally able to walk down the aisle of Trinity United Church of Christ on 95th Street in the Southside of Chicago one day and affirm my Christian faith," Obama said in a 2006 speech. "It came about as a choice, and not an epiphany. I didn't fall out in church. The questions I had didn't magically disappear. But kneeling beneath that cross on the South Side, I felt that I heard God's spirit beckoning me. I submitted myself to His will, and dedicated myself to discovering His truth." http://www.politif act.com/texas/stat ements/2012/sep/04 /hank-williams-jr/ hank-williams-jr-s ays-barack-obama-m uslim/  (Sep 6, 2012 | post #6278)

T-shirts make crude Penn State shower joke; Silas Redd th...

1. I like how you blame Ohio State because some yahoo who is likely not even a fan came up with the idea to make money. 2. It is not just Ohio State 3. PSU won't even come close to beating OSU this year or for the next 5 or 6, most likely. 4. If PSU had not allowed a child rapist to continue to rape children this shirt would never have been created. 5. I, personally, would never wear this shirt nor do I find it particularly funny.  (Aug 31, 2012 | post #6)

Tom Brady is Overrated

You start off disagreeing with me that the system is not a large part of TBs success then go one to talk about how important it is to have the right system and how the system can make or break a QB. However, I wasn't strictly talking about the system as an offensive system or set of plays, etc. I agree that good coaches design their plays around their personnel. I meant it in a broader sense. NE and Belichik do an exceptional job of finding quality talent, usually at a good price, and guys with the right mentality and mental toughness, to fit into how they want to do things. I was thinking more in terms of the fact that NE has good leadership, they seem to make a lot of good decisions. Which brings me back to the original statement: Tom Brady is Overrated. I happen to agree. Though I think that he is good, I believe he gets more credit than he deserves. But then again, that is the nature of the QB position.  (Aug 31, 2012 | post #9924)

Tom Brady is Overrated

Cassel never started a college or NFL game before stepping in and going 10-5. That is clear evidence that the coaching, players, and system in NE is a very large part of Tom Brady's success. Put Tom Brady on the NYJs and he doesn't have anywhere near the career he has had at NE.  (Aug 30, 2012 | post #9917)

Kasich to Reform Income Tax in 2013

Nice. "We are going to give you an income tax break but we are going to put a higher tax on some of your purchases. Maybe you come out ahead, maybe you don't. But at least I can put down on my resume that I reduced Income Taxes!"  (Aug 1, 2012 | post #6)

Zimmerman setup on Hannity

On the contrary, I have not developed an opinion as to what happen. I am merely keeping an open mind (you should try it sometime) as to the possibilities given the current available information. I can conced that Zimmerman may be 100% to blame for this tragedy. Whereas you admit that you "don't care...what evidence is presented." I pray you are never called for jury duty. The fact is, Zimmerman getting out of his car is not a crime. And another unequivicol fact of the matter is that if Martin had not left the house, this would not have happened.  (Jul 31, 2012 | post #135)

Zimmerman setup on Hannity

Following someone or even questioning their right to be in a neighborhood walking around does not constitue 'provocation' for most but it very well may have for Martin. I have seen young men react violently to less 'provocation'. My point is that you have no idea what happened that day yet you have picked a side. You dismiss those facts that fly in the face of your theory and lend extra weight to those that support it.  (Jul 31, 2012 | post #116)
