Utahns flocking to Idaho or Wyoming might have a better chance to win the $1.5 billion Powerball jackpot than the Beehive State has for running its own lottery. Even before Utah became a state 120 years ago this month, early leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints made it clear gambling wasn't welcome. Comment?

With the Powerball jackpot estimated at a record $1.3 billion, thousands of Utah residents are crossing the Colorado border to purchase what they hope is the winning ticket in the town of Dinosaur. The Craig Daily Press reports that Christie's Liquor co-owner John Justice said he had $48,000 in Powerball between Thursday and Sunday evening. Comment?
