The State of Ohio has seized $2 million in unpaid child support from jackpot winners at Ohio's casinos and racinos over the last 11 months. Since September 2014, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says it has partnered with the Lottery Commission, Casino Control Commission, and Ohio's casinos and racinos to check jackpot winners against a database of parents who owe child support. No one matched Tuesday's winning Mega Millions numbers of 6, 13, 38, 56 and 70 with the Mega Ball of 2, so the jackpot for Friday's drawing has grown to $64 million. A player in California matched the first five numbers, but missed the Mega Ball, so instead of winning Tuesday's $52 million jackpot, the player won $430,295 because the California Lottery pays out prizes based on how much money is wagered on its games. Robert Lutz is a regular customer at Kendrick's Corner Carryout on North Ellsworth Avenue and on June 9 he pulled out a five dollar bill to pay for a bottle of grape water. He pocketed the coins in the change and purchased a three dollar Ohio Lottery Frogger instant ticket with the bills. Comment?

The Pennsylvania Lottery Commission says that one jackpot-winning Pennsylvania Lottery Cash 5 ticket worth $800,000 from the Friday, June 19, drawing was sold in Mercer County. The ticket correctly matched all five balls, 03-12-16-22-26, to win a prize of $800,000, less 25 percent federal withholding. Comment?

More than $110 million in jackpots is up for grabs among the Ohio Lottery's three biggest games over the next two nights. The jackpot for tonight's Mega Millions drawing is $35 million since no one matched Friday's winning numbers of 1, 40, 42, 56 and 62 with the Mega Ball of 2. Three drawings have been held since an Illinois lottery player won a $260 million jackpot June 2. Tonight's drawing will be at 11 p.m., with ticket sales stopping 15 minutes prior to the drawing.
