This evening's 10:59 p.m. drawing, to air on WABC-7 and WPVI-6, will be the 32nd held since March 8. That's when Michael Burkett won $157 million with a ticket bought at a 7-Eleven in Seattle. The only other jackpot winner this year came March 8 when a still unidentified person in Staten Island, N.Y won a $169 million drawing. Comment?

Only one ticket matched all six Powerball numbers in Saturday night's drawing. The winning numbers were 5-25-26-44-66 and the Powerball number was 9. Lottery officials in New Jersey said Sunday the ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven in the state capital of Trenton. Comment?

A worker at the New Jersey convenience store that sold a Powerball ticket worth $429.6 million says he and his colleagues are "amazed" that it happened. Marcelo Chilel says when he heard the ticket was sold in Mercer County, he thought it would be great if it was sold at the 7-Eleven store where he works in Trenton. Comment?

Last month's historic billion-dollar Powerball jackpot provided just the windfall state officials had hoped for after two years of "jackpot fatigue" kept the lottery's private operator from meeting its financial obligations to the state budget to help pay for education, senior citizens and disabled veterans. Despite the poor sales in Powerball and Mega Millions, New Jersey's lottery sold a record $3 billion in tickets in the 2015 fiscal year, which ended June 30. But it isn't clear how much of the $147 million in ticket sales will flow back to the state after the Christie Administration's new deal with the operator, Northstar New Jersey, to lower its budget obligations for the rest of the contract by $1 billion. The winning ticket in Monday's Pick-6 XTRA lottery drawing was purchased at a Ramsey convenience store and is worth $3.3 million to the owner, according to New Jersey lottery officials. The identity of the person or persons who purchased the ticket at The Store on East Main Street was not yet known on Wednesday, said the store's owner, Umesh Patel. Comment?
