Playing the lottery was a favorite pastime for the Bowie couple who won a $1 million dollar Powerball prize Wednesday, the state lottery said. The couple, who opted not to be identified, said in a statement released by the Maryland Lottery that they frequently bought tickets at the Annapolis Road Giant Food store in Bowie. Comment?

They aren't the BIG BIG winners of Wednesday night's drawing on the $564 million Powerball jackpot but two winning $1 million tickets were sold in Maryland. One of the $1 million tickets was sold in Garrett County and another was sold in Prince George's County, according to Maryland Lottery officials. Comment?

A Parkville man learned this weekend he won $2.85 million in the Maryland Lottery's Multi-Match game-almost a decade after he won $250,000 in its MegaMillions game. The 39-year-old truck driver chose the cash option for the prize, which came to more than $2.2 million. Comment?
