The new Chancellor of the University of North Carolina Wilmington and the new Dean of the Cameron School of Business officially take office Wednesday, July 1. The UNC Board of Governors elected Dr. Jose V. "Zito" Sartarelli to be the new chancellor during a quarterly meeting on April 10. Dr. Sartarelli, who was the Dean of the College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University, succeeds Dr. William A. Sederburg, who served as interim chancellor since June 2014. A Tennessee firm announced Thursday it had closed on the acquisition of Mayfaire Town Center and Community Center in Wilmington. According to a news release from CBL & Associates Properties, Inc., the property was acquired for a total cash purchase price of $192 million from a partnership between BrodyCo Inc. and Zimmer Development Company.
