Lunn was selected by city commissioners Tuesday to replace Tim Ramsberger, who resigned after being hired as the new deputy director of Visit St. Pete/Clearwater, the marketing agency for Pinellas County. Ramsberger, who began his new job Monday, resigned Jan. 28, saying he "wanted to avoid any appearance of a conflict of interest." Comment?

Ramsberger will be second in command under executive director David Downing, beginning Feb. 1. Ramsberger is a Pinellas native and most recently worked as a vice president of Andretti Sports Marketing. Previously, he served as the president of the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg for nearly a decade. Comment?

Timothy Ramsberger, the District 2 Treasure Island City Commissioner Tim Ramsberger has resigned effective Thursday, Jan. 28. 'I am officially resigning my seat today on the Treasure Island City Commission in order to accept a position with Pinellas County,' said Ramsberger in an e-mail to his fellow commissioners and city staff. 'I truly wish it possible to continue serving on the commission, but understand the necessity to avoid any appearance of a conflict of interest.' Comment?

Over the next few weeks, Treasure Island residents will vote via mail-in ballots or at the polls on March 15 to elect a District 4 city commissioner. District 4 consists of Sunset Beach, First Street East in the area of Blind Pass, 98th Avenue, 99th Avenue, 104th Avenue, 105th Avenue, 106th Avenue, Park Place, First Street East from 104th Avenue to the south side of 108th Avenue, the east side of Gulf Boulevard from 96th Avenue through the south side of 108th Avenue and the west side of Gulf Boulevard from 96th Avenue through 110th Avenue.
