Amazon withdrew its application for public incentives tied to its proposed $225 million distribution facility in Shakopee just before the City Council was set to consider the request. The Seattle-based retailer plans to proceed with its 820,000-square-foot development but notified the city on Monday it would forgo about $1.2 million in tax breaks for itself, Shakopee spokeswoman Kristin Holtz told Finance & Commerce.
