Raleigh-based Highwoods Properties, Inc. is paying $303 million for Monarch Centre in Atlanta's Buckhead area and $124 million for the SunTrust Financial Center in Tampa's CBD, while announcing plans to sell Country Club Plaza, a retail and office complex in Kansas City. Monarch Centre, a two-building complex totaling 896,000 square feet and is 88% occupied, two other buildings that Highwoods already owns, One and Two Alliance Center, a combined have 1 million square feet of office.
