Dominating national headlines has been the search for two escaped convicts, who after busting out of a northern New York prison on June 6, were alleged to be in Allegany County over the weekend. According to an Associated Press report, nearly 300 officers scoured the towns of Amity and Friendship, where an unconfirmed report claimed that two men resembling convicts David Sweat and Richard Matt were seen Saturday near a railroad line.
