SuperValu Inc. said Tuesday that it may spin off its discount grocer Save-A-Lot into a separate publicly traded company as competition in the industry intensifies. Save-A-Lot has seven stores in Volusia County: two in DeLand, and one each in Daytona Beach, Deltona, Holly Hill, Orange City and Port Orange. Comment?
