Why Amway is more worried about currency rate than C...

The Michigan company attributes the significant revenue decline to two factors: a slowdown of China's economy -- the company's biggest market -- and fluctuating exchange rates that shrink revenues when they are exchanged into U.S. currency. Dollars wise, these headwinds had an equal impact on revenues but the currency issue is more worrisome for the Ada-based multi-level marketing company because 90 percent of its sales are outside the U.S. "From my standpoint, it's the currency that really impacts us more financially," said Chairman Steve Van Andel this week, discussing the company's 2015 revenue report with MLive and the Grand Rapids Press.
