    Razorback commitments hold except one

Other than cornerback Joseph Putu, the Rhode Island native attending junior college in North Dakota and signing Wednesday with the Florida Gators, Arkansas held fast to the 18 recruits committed to sign with Razorbacks on Wednesday's opening of college football's national signing period. Added to UA spring semester enrolees, McTelvin "Sosa" Agim and Deion Malone, an offensive lineman signed in December and transferring to the UA from Northwest Mississippi Community College, Wednesday's signees brought the class to 20 with possibly one more to come, Arkansas coach Bret Bielema said.

Two members of the 2016 class are already on campus: Hope defensive end McTelvin Agim -- who signed a financial aid agreement Dec. 17 -- and Northwest Mississippi Community College offensive lineman Terrance Malone -- who signed a national letter of intent Dec. 16. Highly recruited receiver Tyrie Cleveland will pick from among Arkansas, Florida and TCU at 8 a.m. He was a Houston commitment but took official visits to his finalists.

Razorbacks up, down and up again

Pearls gives the basketball Razorbacks, and in particular Coach Mike Anderson, plenty of adulation after a three-game league winning streak vaults them briefly into contention in the ever-volatile SEC. A three-game losing streak - two achingly close road defeats sandwiched around a no-show at home against Kentucky - is what naturally ensues.
