East Coweta head coach Steve Pardue is old school enough to realize offenses win football games but defenses can make or break a season. On Friday night at Garland Shoemake Stadium, the Indians couldn't generate much in the way of offense, but their defense did what it had to do en route to a 7-0 victory over Westlake in a Region 3-AAAAAA showdown that wasn't decided until Pardue's squad stopped Westlake on fourth down late in the fourth quarter.
