    Disappointed in the San Diego Section Division I boys water polo final last season, Canyon Crest senior goalie Bryce Elsner and his teammates wouldn't be denied in a repeat appearance this year.     Despite giving up 17 points in the first seven minutes of the game, Pittsburg High found itself still within striking distance midway through the third quarter of Friday's North Coast Section Open Division semifinal at De La Salle.     Miles Hastings has returned from a shoulder injury to lead San Marcos to the Open Division semifinals. The large San Marcos High football crowd watched in stunned silence as Knights athletic trainer Paul Savage rushed on the field to treat quarterback Miles Hastings, who was writhing in pain after being dumped hard on his shoulder.
