    Overlak boys tennis goes 1-1 last week

    Overlake split a pair of boys tennis contests last week, defeating Bear Creek, 5-0, and losing to Seattle Academy, 3-2. Against Bear Creek in singles, Keshav Ummat beat Caleb Ji, 6-4,7-6 and Loucas Tsilas beat Adam Worley, 2-6, 6-4, 10-7; in doubles, Declan Daly/Wesley Chan beat Karsten Kohait/Seth McBride, 6-1, 6-2, Noah Yeo/Rick Chavez beat Chris Yang/Raju Dunn, 6-2, 6-3 and Trevor Marcus/Kevin Gartland beat Kevin Um/Matthew Davidson, 6-0, 6-1.

    Bear Creek girls soccer wins first two matches

    The Grizzlies jump up to the 1A classification this season and will play in the Emerald City League. As a 1B/2B school, they won state titles in 2011 and 2012 and finished second in 2013.

    Root Sports to broadcast one Inglemoor, one Bothell ...

    The Inglemoor High School football game against Eastlake will be Root Sports featured game this week. The contest will be broadcast live on the cable sports station at 7 p.m. from Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell.
