    Warrior boys fall at Cascade Christian

    When you have an opponent down, it can be difficult to keep them down. In a game fraught with fervor, thrills and side tours, the Seattle Christian Warriors let a 10-point lead escape midway through the fourth quarter en route to a 62-57 Nisqually 1A League boys basketball loss at Cascade Christian High School on Fri., Jan. 29. The loss enabled the Cougars to slip by the Warriors into second place at 4-2 ahead of SC's 4-3.

    The Vashon High School boys' basketball team played two games last week, both ending in victories for the league-leading Pirates who are now 4-0 against their Nisqually League opponents. At press time, there were four more games left in the regular season, all important in the Pirates' quest to repeat as conference champions.

    Cougars fend off Vikings rally

    In a battle between rival private schools, the Cascade Christian Cougars boys basketball team survived against the Bellevue Christian Vikings. Cascade Christian outscored Bellevue Christian 8-3 in the final six minutes, 51 seconds of regulation, earning a 48-43 win on Jan. 15 at Cascade Christian High School in Puyallup.
