    The Times-Picayune presents multiple Athletes of the Week candidates for your consideration to vote in our poll, and we invite your suggestions in the comments section below for any athlete we might have missed. Voting will last through Tuesday at 4 p.m. A total of three players will be selected -- one north shore male, one south shore male and one female overall from the metro area.

Divinity is leader of the Patriots defense and will likely show why he is one of the top prospects in the country against the Hurricanes.

    The Green Wave recovered a fumble to end the first quarter and reeled off 21 unanswered points to earn a 28-14 win over Covington in the District 6-5A opener for both teams at Ponchatoula on Friday night. "We had great play from the offensive lineman, and we were able to move the ball," said Ponchatoula quarterback Jeb Kraft, who finished 7-of-11 passing for 129 yards and three scores.
