    Pittsfield High School's Amanda Wright was one of the best all-around athletes Berkshire County had this season. She's added an All-Eagle track and field MVP award - her second in as many years - to an All-Eagle girls soccer MVP award.

    All-Eagle girls track/field: Best of the best for 2015

    Jeanne Teasdale, Lenox: Despite the Millionaires' trouble with Berkshire County duals this spring, Teasdale's team had its best performances in the postseason. Lenox was the third-place finisher in the Districts F&G Division II meet on May 22, and the Millionaires followed that with a sixth-place team finish at the Central/Western Mass.

    Close-knit Post 68 team looks to win American Legion...

    Alex Carusotto is one of 10 Post 68 players who was on the 2012 Pittsfield Babe Ruth 15-year-old team that won a New England championship. On their way home from Van Buren, Ark., and the 2012 Babe Ruth World Series, some players on the Pittsfield 15-year-old all-star team thought their story was over.

    The Pittsfield Suns baseball team and head coach Tom Conley will team up with the American Cancer Society, the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Berkshire County event and its Coaches vs. Cancer program by hosting a Pink the Park night on Thursday, July 30, at Wahconah Park. During the 7 p.m. Suns' game against the Martha's Vineyard Sharks, fans will have an opportunity to take part in fundraising activities that will benefit the ACS and its premier breast cancer awareness event, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

    Pittsfield Post 68 American Legion baseball team kee...

    The Pittsfield Post 68 American Legion baseball team entered Tuesday's game of the Massachusetts American Legion tournament on an 11-game win streak, winners of 23 of their last 24. While losing is not prominently displayed on the team's resume Post 68 compiled an impressive record of 24-2 on the year the team hasn't been without adversity. Four of Post 68's last six games were one-run victories and the team has played eight games with two or fewer runs separating victor and the vanquished.

    2015 All-Berkshire boys track and field team

    Sandifer, chosen by both The Eagle and the county's coaches as the county's MVP, had the best long jump and triple jump of the season in The Eagle's Honor Roll, as well as the second-best 100 time in the Berkshires. He ran the opening leg of the Hurricanes' state-qualifying 400 relay, and he scored at the Central/Western Mass.

    James McMahon, Wahconah: His Warriors were certainly tough to deal with within Berkshire County, but it's the meets outside the Berkshires that put Wahconah's boys on a farther-reaching radar. The highlight of the 2015 season for Wahconah was clearly its Central/Western Massachusetts Division II team championship at Westfield State in late May. Central/Western Mass.
