    Norwalk Basketball Community Stunned By Coach's Sudd...

    Maurice "Mo" Tomlin, a former basketball star and coach for the Senators, died Tuesday of a heart attack at age 42. Tomlin worked as a security guard at McMahon and was the school's varsity basketball coach from 2007 to 2012. He was also the former athletic director at the Carver Center in Norwalk.

    Wilton 8th Grade Girls Team Reaches League Title Game

    The Wilton 8th grade girls basketball team defeated Newtown and Stamford to advance to the championship game of the Fairfield County Basketball League tournament for the fourth straight year. Wilton lost to the Devon Knights of MIlford, 49-44, as Bridgette Wall, Kaitlin Reif, Adia Burrows and Olivia Dexter played well.

    Norwalk forward Roy Kane Jr. had a career night against Bassick during the regular season, posting 42 points and 26 rebounds in a losing effort. When the teams met 10 days later to tip off the FCIAC boys basketball tournament, he received a little more help.

Navigating back and forth between the long and high jump areas, Bravo, who said he was bothered by a back injury during the season, set a personal best in the winning the high jump by five inches.
