    The Sailors captured the Greater Muskegon Athletic Association volleyball tournament in convincing fashion Saturday at Reeths-Puffer High School, as they didn't drop a set in three matches. Mona Shores turned it on in the finals, taking it to Fruitport in the final two sets to win going away 25-20, 25-13, 25-14.

    Muskegon football recap: Area powers roll on to set ...

    It will be Muskegon vs. Mona Shores for the OK Black championship, bragging rights between old rivals Muskegon Catholic Central and Ravenna and the playoffs at stake for Orchard View when it faces Oakridge in next week's football lineup. Mona Shores rolled past Grand Rapids Union 46-12 to improve to 7-1 and set up the conference title clash at Hackley Stadium.

    Muskegon 37, Reeths-Puffer 6: Quick start propels Bi...

    The Muskegon football team kept its chances for a perfect regular season alive as it rolled crosstown rival Reeths-Puffer 37-6 on a soggy night at Rocket Stadium Friday, Oct. 17. Senior running back Caleb Washington carried the ball 18 times for 141 yards and two touchdowns to pace a balanced Big Reds attack, which rode a quick start to a 10-0 lead after the first quarter and 23-0 lead at halftime. The quick start was a welcomed change for Muskegon coach Shane Fairfield.

    Christian Dault's penalty kick goal propelled Grand Haven's varsity soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Mona Shores on a rainy Hudsonville High School field on Thursday. The Buccaneers' Derek Braak got into the Sailors' penalty box and was taken down just 15 minutes into Thursday's contest.
