The 2014-15 wrestling season will come to a rousing finish this weekend at the NJSIAA Championships, where 336 wrestlers will compete, 112 will win state medal and a select group of 14 will ascend to the top of the podium as a state champion. Izzy Mendez and Erin Nicholson hit three 3-pointers apiece, but the Montclair Kimberley Academy girls basketball team was eliminated from the New Jersey Prep B tournament Sunday afternoon with a 49-27 loss at Morristown-Beard. The top-seeded Colonials downed the fifth-seeded Millers 99-71 Feb. 10 in the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association North Jersey, Section 2, Group B Tournament semifinals at Morristown High School. A year ago the Morristown girls' basketball team finished 5-17 and it was a season to forget. However, the team has jumped off to a 9-3 record this year and is in second in the Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference, National Division. Comment?
