    The sky's apparently the limit for former McGill-Toolen pole vaulter Sean Collins after he finished third at the USA Track and Field Junior National meet held at the University of Oregon in Eugene over the weekend. Collins, who will attend the University of South Alabama and vault for the Jaguars, cleared a personal best 17 feet, 10 inches on his third attempt and narrowly missed making the Youth Pan Am team.

    Davidson and Baker were the big winners Thursday night in the 2015 Next Level High School Football Skills Challenge at South Alabama. The annual event, sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, featured 14 football teams from Alabama, Mississippi and the Florida panhandle in a series of athletic competitions, including a 7-on-7 tournament, tug-o-war, bench press, punting and kicking, tire pull, truck push and an obstacle course.
