    Players to watch: The two-time reigning state champion Rams have the best top-end talent in the state, led by two Oregon-bound seniors in FS Brady Breeze and LB La'Mar Winston. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Breeze, who has been fending off advances from Alabama, will see an increased role as a run/catch-threat on offense this year after transferring from South Medford as a junior.

    Competition for Sunset's starting QB spot remains open

    After the first full week of practice, Sunset High School football coach Damien Merrick didn't yet have the answer to the main question surrounding the Apollos going into the 2015 season: Pflug was the starting signal-caller for the Apollos' spread offense the previous three seasons before he graduated and started his college career at Montana. Sunset has three players competing to be the starter when the Apollos kick off their season on Friday, Sept.
