    For the second consecutive season, a deep talent pool in Region 4-AAAAA found Northgate on the outside of the state playoff picture. The Lady Vikings battled region nemesis Ola in another back-and-forth game before coming up short in a 4-3 loss.

    Ola journeys to Woodland to face once-beaten Wolfpack

    Ola steps into its first region AAAAA, subregion B game Friday against the team which is setting the early pace in that subregion. The Ola Mustangs bring a 2-2 record into Wolfpack county as they face 4-1 Woodland, which recorded its first subregion win two weeks ago in a 10-7 defensive struggle against Dutchtown.

    Lady Lions win Tsunami Invitational

    Trinity Christian's volleyball team did the next best thing after dropping its first Region 1-AAA loss of the season. Namely, the Lady Lions rolled through five opponents to win this year's Tsunami Invitational Tournament on Saturday while improving to 25-3 overall.
