    Marauders 17th at John Deno

    The Meigs wrestling team finished 17th overall out of 22 teams Saturday at the 2015 John Deno Tournament held at McAfee Gymnasium on the campus of Athens High School in Athens County. The Marauders earned one individual championship and two top-eight finishes at the annual event, which allowed the Maroon and Gold to score 67.5 points.

    Vikings breeze by Gallia Academy, 53-35

    The Gallia Academy boys basketball team was held to just two points in the second quarter Saturday night, as non-conference guest Vinton County stormed to a 53-35 victory. The Blue Devils held with the Vikings through the first eight minutes of play, resulting in a 10-all tie at the end of the first quarter.

    Vikings outlast River Valley in OT, 71-67

    Vinton County's Tristan Bartoe is quadruple-teamed by River Valley defenders Jon Qualls , Jacob Dovenbarger, Kirk Morrow and Tyler Twyman during the first half of Tuesday night's TVC Ohio boys basketball contest in Bidwell, Ohio. The River Valley boys basketball team shot 52 percent after the break, but the hosts watched a seven-point halftime lead disappear Tuesday night during a heartbreaking 71-67 overtime setback to Vinton County in a Tri-Valley Conference Ohio Division matchup in Gallia County.
